Friendly staff and yummy food!! Love this sandwich shop. Their salad is always fresh and of great quality.
The turkey/brie/cranberry panini was fantastic!
As a sandwich shop owner, I must say, quite impressive and delicious. We ordered the Ham and Gruyere, Brie and cucumber, and the fantastic Duck Cofi and cranberry. Pure yummy flavors and the bread was crispy and brown and soft in the middle. Perfect for our train ride home. The staff were super friendly and our sandwiches showed up full of inspiration in no time. Highly recommended!
$18 for a bowl of soup and a roll. $18 for a bowl of soup and a roll. $16 plus like an idiot I add a 2 buck tip. Bummer. Silly experience. I’m much happier giving my money to the suffering folks wandering the streets. I tried to question what the hell was going on but I got nowhere so I’ll just kvetch comfortably from my kitchen table
I really want to like this place, as it's near the office, the staff is very friendly, and the ingredients they are of good quality. The issue I have is that the food is too often under seasoned, lacking in good flavor balance, or just plain weird combinations of things that might seen good in concept, but don't work well together in execution. The good: The pate baguette is very good, as are a few of the more common panini combinations. The bad: The deli salads are underwhelming in flavor as are many of the soups. A recent example was the sausage gumbo. I'm thinking gumbo: a dark rich roux thickened with file or okra, and full of celery, onion, peppers, with andouille and chicken, topped over rice. This was definitely a light soup, with very little in the way of vegetables, no roux, no okra, no spice or heat.
You guys can do better. So much promise. Menu items that scream flavor, but ultimately fail to deliver. 5 out of 6 times it's just kinda boring food, and at a price that should knock my socks off. For contrast, Taylor Street Kitchen has less variety but is consistent on good creative stimulating flavors and perfect balance. What's holding Addy's back?
The best sandwich shop in town that's never open.
Wonderful people serving good food.
My husband and I really wanted to love this place. We happened to see it a few times when we have come to the library and then recently saw them on the news and thought now is the time to check them out and maybe find our new regular lunch spot. Unfortunately when we walked in we felt unwelcome. After a minute the owner said, oh you're still deciding and left it at that. They didn't attempt to engage with us or to give any recommendations. They gave off a unfriendly and cold attitude. We ordered to go and while waiting we watch as a handful of customers walk in who apparently are regulars and were treated VERY differently! They shared smiles and pleasant dialog and it seemed that some of their names were known, hence my previous statement about being regulars. My husband and I were hoping to be one of your regulars too but you made us feel like we didn't belong. Shame. :(
Average food at above average price.
The worst part is getting there. Homeless people everywhere, the smell of urine and feces on the sidewalk, not exactly a safe place.
I am not impressed with Portland.

Their food isn't just delicious. It is some kind of magical witchcraft that feeds your soul. You should eat here and you should get the ginger elixir.

I stopped by for lunch while in town and I loved this place! The atmosphere was light and very friendly. I had a delightful turkey pesto sandwich with a kale quinoa salad. Both were very good and tasted fresh.
