Great experience celebrating our wedding day with an intimate family dinner at Amaterra. Our food was absolutely fantastic across the board. Hosts and dinner service were just good, but to be fair they were really busy that night. All of their Amaterra and 51 Weeks wines are very recommendable but their Pinot Gris stood out the most to us. We had the privilege of getting a private tour of the winery, barrel rooms and treehouse deck with Zach. He really made our night memorable. We will absolutely be back!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We cannot thank Amaterra enough for the incredible birthday party for our son! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, creating the perfect backdrop for a memorable celebration.
The food was absolutely amazing—every dish was beautifully presented and delicious, leaving our guests raving about the flavors.
A special shoutout to Ashley, Zach, and Jamie, who went above and beyond. Their attention to detail and genuine care made the party even more special and filled our hearts with joy.
Thank you, Amaterra, for making our son’s birthday a truly unforgettable experience. We can't wait to celebrate with you again!
Wonderful dinner date night. Somm Zach and team made it a memorable night, and it was an easy decision to join their wine club. Can’t wait to come back again!
Just simply amazing! Hands down some of the best food and wine in all of Portland!
The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the views are stunning, even in the winter. One of our favorite go to places for date night and special occasions.
Nice evening. I’ll be thinking of that scallop dish for a while. Fun and festive on a saturday night! Complimentary valet. So fun having a winery right in town!
We had an Office Christmas Lunch and it was the most fun! The winery is so beautiful and the event space felt very welcoming and private for our group to enjoy. The food was delicious, and the service we received was Amazing. Our host Ken and hostess Kat were incredibly helpful and attentive to Everything we needed and MORE!
Amaterra is just down the street from me and I like to go there for happy hour and wine tastings. The service was great.
We’ve been social members for a while and there have been an evolution! The bar has a nice selection of bourbon, I was impressed!! Nick is a gem of a bartender. He’s very knowledgeable on bourbon and interesting to converse with. The afternoon food list could be a bit more expansive; perhaps offering the happy hour menu earlier would be my suggestion.
We have been to Amaterra over 10 times.
The location, venue esthetics, design, layout, view and comfort are all A+ to us. The bar, bartenders and quality of the drinks are A+, really great an consistent. Amaterra is a winery - I don't love the wines - some are good but I still to cocktails.
The dinner menu and execution is a C-/+ it just is. It's good or OK but it's not great, the dish pairings and ingredients are odd they even read odd(to me), like do I want butternut squash with my scallops? No, no I don't. There are other examples too - just needs some work some more thought. IMO. A menu similar to Arden would KILL here.
Will we be back, yes. Will it be often, no. It is a beautiful building with a great view and it feels good to be there!
Best 🔥!!.

Absolutely stunning venue. Wedding paradise.
We had a wonderful experience for dinner and drinks. Amazing service from the wait staff to management! We will be back.
Awesome food, service and experience. We started in the gallery for drinks, then had dinner, and then looked at the great view. Zach made our night so special! Especially fun during the holidays with all the beautiful decorations!
Food & Wine: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The food was truly the highlight of the evening. Every dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The chef’s attention to detail and use of fresh ingredients made each bite memorable. The wine list was impressive as well, with a great variety of options that perfectly complemented the menu. If you’re here solely for the food and wine, you’re in for a treat.
Service: ⭐☆☆☆ ☆
Unfortunately, the service did not match the quality of the food. Servers, Amber and Kristina, seemed indifferent from the start. They didn’t smile, were not particularly welcoming, and gave the impression that we were an inconvenience rather than valued guests. This lack of warmth and friendliness made the atmosphere feel unwelcoming.
Good service is an essential part of the dining experience, and I was disappointed by the lack of hospitality. It’s unfortunate that such a fantastic meal was marred by an inattentive and unenthusiastic service team.
Overall Experience:
While I would recommend for outstanding food and wine, I hope the management can work on improving the level of service. A warm, friendly staff would elevate this restaurant from good to truly exceptional.
Great atmosphere and view of Portland. And the food is great 😊
