This charming food cart serves up authentic Mexican cuisine in a cozy, covered seating area. The food was delicious, and the short wait was well worth it. The friendly cook added to the overall enjoyable experience.

Unequivocally the best burritos in NW Portland. Have sampled almost every place in the area. If you are craving *real* burritos (generous portions of meat and refried beans, al pastor that isn't afraid to bring the heat, juicy carnitas that has no intention of hitting the gym), not the sanitized, ersatz kind one is usually subjected to in the area, I assure you Angel's has exactly what your soul so deeply desires. Operates from a food truck off the freeway, so not exactly my recommendation for a first date. But it isn't trying to be that anyway. Nor does it have to compensate for bad food by throwing in free chips, so they don't. Only downside is that they are closed on the weekends. Calle 21 is a decent alternative in such situations. You're welcome.

I got a pastor burrito here, and I was left disappointed. I've seen all the great reviews, but I was underwhelmed. There are definitely better options around, including a taco truck that visits the local businesses for breakfast and lunch. The burrito was large, but nearly every bite included a large piece of gristle or fat with absolutely no trace of meat. Maybe I got a bad one, but that is an awfully large amount of "meat" that should have been discarded, not put in a burrito. It makes me think they use cheap, low quality meat, and/or don't trim it before processing. In addition to this, the burrito had an odd flavor, similar to black licorice, which I have never tasted in pastor. Normally pastor has a savory, sweet, and smoky flavor that is hard to beat, especially when it includes pineapple bits. I will not be going to Angel's again. This was the most expensive burrito in the area, and by far the worst.I have attached a picture with pieces from the first few bites with a standard size post-it note for scale.
