I am from the great State of Maine, it’s my best choice in Portland Oregon. The two ladies running are just delightful.

Myself have loved the food at argos for a long time and have referred many of our friends, but the last 2 times we have gotten our fish it has been terrible .it was so rubbery we couldn't eat it.we are very sad about it because my husband loves it. But we are not sure if we will try it again or not.sorry .

Absolutely wonderful fish. Driving three geriatric cousins to California and we stopped here to meet another handful of cousins. Perfectly fried fish and fantastic owner. Thank you! It's worth the drive from Seattle.

Good food, but not really set up for take out. My food was all over the seat by the time I got home.

Vegetarian options: All the food is cooked in the same fryer. I dunno about the coleslaw and other sides, but I wouldn't bet on anything vegan or truly vegetarian.

Parking: There is lots of on street parking, but you may have to walk a block or two.

Wheelchair accessibility: There is a short stair to get to the landing to order at the window. But I think there is an app you can use to order, too, and they would bring it out to you if you asked.

We have been driving from Parkrose to St. Johns to Arlos. We were disappointed yesterday to find that the fries have changed. The food wasn't as good without those fries they made previously. Not sure we'll make the trek for this in the future sadly :(

We have been driving to Arlo’s from Vancouver for 3 years . It is hands down the best fish and chips we have ever had. Lightly breaded large ,moist chunks of cod with their freshly cut fries. The 4 piece is enough to split. An article in the Vancouver Columbian touted a new “English”fish and chips trailer on Anderson rd.We were excited to try it and did. We were very disappointed in the quality and taste. We aren’t going back but have been to Arlo’s 4 or 5 times since. We can’t wait to get there and they never let us down. It is well worth the drive to the St Johns area in north Portland for this gem

Fantastic fish and chips! We are very picky when it comes to fish and chips and Arlo's definitely does not disappoint. The best fish and chips we have had in the Portland area and definitely worth a stop.

This is some of the best fish and chips in Portland and it's from a cart. I'd stay away from the $1 extra for a coleslaw just because craziness and coleslaw is in a word... Crazy, but the fish is worth going back for and the fries are fries. Personally I prefer malt vinegar but the tartar sauce was yummy too

Amazing fish and chips. This time, the fish and the batter could have used a bit more salt. But I'd rather they be a bit under salted than over salted. Amazing value for the quality. Fries are good.

This is the place to go, especially when the older guy and his wife? (Im sure they're the owners) are behind the counter. They obviously have an incredible source for their fish and only offer Cod and chips (and coleslaw if you're into that). They keep it simple, and it's simply the best I've ever had.
