My family and I are ramen lovers and reading the reviews by many here, we went to check out the joint. Walking in, I had a funny feeling it was not going to be as good as our favorite places in Toronto or Tokyo but stayed and tried the tomato mazemen, ghost pepper miso and mala chili miso. None of them had any flavour. No umami, could not taste the miso. Just tasted like water with pepper powder mixed in for the "spicy veggie ramens" and my mazemen was a disappointing bland tomatoe paste on far too thick strips of noodles not at all reminescent of ramen. We didn't finish our meals and left. Was very disappointed and would not have called our meals umai let alont baka umai. Do not recommend for veggie ramen lovers.

Reaper ramen is no joke. It’s delicious, but remember, you’re going to have to drive home. My eyes didn’t stop watering for a while after downing that one. The habanero one is the limit for me. Super spicy, utterly delicious, and I can drive home safely. The staff is super informative of their products, and happy to explain them. I’ve had nothing but great experiences coming here, almost weekly. If you’ve never had real ramen, this will be your go to soon.

Incredible ramen here! I wish I lived closer I would be here all the time. Cozy ambiance and perfect for a quick bite or to catch up w a friend. I got the Yuzu Miso and the Tan Tan dipping noodles. My friends got the Tonkotsu spicy and non spicy. The broth of the yuzu was soooo well balanced. I loved the soft boiled eggs those were def the star of the show. The dipping ramen was incredible as well, and I replaced the chorizo with chashu pork. Will be here again!

The tonkotsu broth was perfect. The noodles were chewy and wonderful. There’s a whole perfectly jammy ajitama (ramen egg) in there. Plenty of yummy chasu, menma and I LOVED the pickled (?) shiitake mushrooms. A bright tang against the creamy, rich broth was freaking delightful. Wowowowow. 10/10 I’m a fan. Oh, and it’s all made in house. So impressed. Super happy.

Delicious hot bowl of ramen. I had the Traditional Shio or Shoyu bowl. It was delicious. Shop makes their own noodles. I highly recommend this shop.

Favorite ramen spot in Portland. They make their noodles, broth, and tares from scratch. You can taste the difference.

Didn’t expect much but came out so impressed. Been to Japan multiple times and to different cities trying different types of ramen. This one holds up to some of the best of em… seriously. My wife and I were craving spicy ramen and this really hit the spot. Noodles are so well made! And although the habanero mash doesn’t taste like traditional ramen it provides a great kick!

I went solo, ordered, and found a seat immediately. They had quite a few ramen options and I tried their chorizo-men, which was a pork broth mixed with tan tan sauce and chorizo bits for roughly $20. It was pretty good. Service was good, nothing to knock there. Overall, good experience and good food, but also not something special for me. Worth trying though as this spot clearly resonates with others!

Good, no-frills food. Several clearly marked vegan dishes. Friendly staff, quick service. Flavors and portions are decent.
