They have great combinations and they have good quality sushi. Definitely the place to go if you are looking for something different from what you get in most places plus they are sustainable with their approach.

I used to enjoy this place. This time, the food was mid. The service was okay. The staff were nice, but busy. We were brought the wrong roll and then brought a second roll of the same kind to make up for it. Never got the original roll. Lots of little things that on their own would be perfectly fine and acceptable, but when combined created a less than satisfactory dining experience.

Really delicious food! The salmon flight and tuna zuke were so great, and the miso black cod was really good as well. Matcha panna cotta was also 10/10 😍 Everything was just perfect

Here during happy hour and got a wee discount on drinks and a few apps. The brussels are crazy delicious and the crispy rice is a nice little palette cleanser between apps and main. Our table loved the Green Machine, Unicorn, and the Full Circle rolls. Walk-in on a Wednesday was clutch and got seated immediately. Davy Jones cocktail was scrumptious. Server was lovely and good at reading our readiness to order and leave. The preparation and plating is beautiful. Great spot and recommend to anyone in the Alberta area.

Funnily enough, I was recommended to go to Bamboo Sushi for it's burger. The burger, in fact, was one of the most delicious burgers I've ever had. It was very juicy and had great quality cheese. The taro chips were amazing. The tuna nigiri was delicious. I really loved the agedashi tofu. The tofu quality was incredible and the dashi broth was so flavorful. The miso Black Cod was fruity and delicious, but the portion was small. Even the California roll was great quality - texturally very soft and the crab flavor is mellow but delicious. The mackerel was a little too salty for me.

Best sushi! We didn't get the best service. Our server rarely came to check on use. I didn't have anything to drink half the meal. The food is truly amazing.

The happy hour menu goes until 6pm and has a good selection of entrees and generous drink discounts. We ended up ordering some things from the regular menu too -- the Green Machine was a table favorite. The cocktails are a winning combination of Japanese and Western ingredients, like the One in Ten, with mezcal and shishito peppers. And not only was the food great, but the fisheries and farms it comes from are MSC and ASC certified.

So this is my favorite Bamboo, and I believe it's the smallest, but its staff makes all the difference. I love going on a solo date here and sitting at the sushi bar. Jose, Nishan, and other chefs making the food in the sushi bar are just so so so good. Also, the BOH chefs really made my Food just superb last night.
Thank you for understanding my sauce obsession with your place. You Do Tooo Goooood!
My favorite item is the king salmon coho sashimi with truffle.... it is splendid with the Mico greens, a little spice, acid of tomato, and a savory balance of the truffle sauce with the fatty salmon. Deeeelish!? ok, also, I love their nigiri scollap with the Yuzu dress. Phenomenal couldn't ask for a better bite! Their ikura is marinaded so well, its a lil bite of heaven!
And my go-to apps are shoshito peppers, miso Ceasar, their spin on Agadashi is Delightful and enough for a lunch really. Or a share, or you order too much and have lunch the next day! Dealers' choice, but always a pleasure stopping into this location.
Also, I love their green machine roll, add salmon... the burger is very well executed for you non fishy folx.. as well as their vegan Vegetarian options, imo are delicious, great options for everyone.
Def leave room for the delicate matcha Pana cotta! Always a fun texture and wonderful flavor ?
Also, I almost forgot from the host to the servers. I love watching them all work so fluid together. Thanks, Robert, for taking such care with my meal experience and, of course ALL THE CHEFS??? ?????????? ???
Vegetarian options: Shoshito peppers w no bonito flakes, I believe is vegetarian. Cauliflower, miso soup, a variety of rolls, green machine, green beans, cuke salad, tempura veggies, the whole app area, crispy rice avo, crispy tofu dinner, garlic fried ride! And other stuff too!
Dietary restrictions: None! No octopus, they are too much like me lol
Kid-friendliness: Kids will do Good as long as your kid is good.
Wheelchair accessibility: Yes

I'm so extremely disappointed with my experience at this place. I went to dinner alone and sat at the sushi bar. The person who seated me was pleasant and the place was bustling. I had been getting takeout from Bamboo sushi but never dined in -- I knew their food was and was looking forward to a good experience while dining in.
After sitting at the bar, I ordered a mocktail as well as my food order. A couple of people sat at the sushi bar after I made my order -- these people received their drinks and food order minutes after being seated, and they left while I was still sitting there waiting to be served my mocktail.
No one gave me food or drink. My server ignored me for an hour after taking my order. Others who sat after I sat ate and left -- I was embarrassed. I ultimately tracked someone down and asked for my food to go -- I expected someone, anyone, to acknowledge me and the fact I had been ignored for an hour. My order did not come out after I alerted the server, but someone came by so I could check out (I still didn't have my food).
I paid, and was still waiting for my food that I now had to eat at home so I could feed my dog.
I had to track down my server again, and requested that she check in on my food (which was nigiri and brussel sprouts..not very complicated).
In the end, after waiting 20 minutes after paying for the meal, my food was brought to me without a bag. I had to ask the server for a bag so I wouldn't need to carry the containers. The server seemed frustrated with me, but ultimately said "sorry about that" and I told her it's ok given how busy the place was. But the truth is, this was not ok. I felt embarrassed and ignored throughout the time I was there.
I'm really not sure whether I was treated this way because of looks or because of clothing (casual clothing) or something else. I just know that I expected better from the restaurant. Shoutout to the chefs behind the counter who validated me as I was leaving when they asked about my experience -- they were very kind.
Ultimately, everyone is trying their best here. I am sorry I had to write this review -- I highly doubt the staff will care or act upon it, honestly.

A first timer at Bamboo, but definitely not a last timer.
I totally enjoyed dining at Bamboo yesterday late afternoon.
While seating felt just a wee bit crowded, everything else about Bamboo was superb. Ian, our server was well informed , pleasant, and attentive without hovering....perfect.
We ordered a variety of offerings, including tempura ? shrimp, the black cod, garlic fried rice , the garden of eden sushi roll , agedashi tofu, and the wonderful, off the charts king salmon kama collar. All foods came out family style and ready to share.
Prices were a bit steeper than usual, but considering the expert preparation , tastes, and service , I felt I received value for money spent.
Final take....recommended. I'm looking forward to my return visit already.

just found Bamboo Sushi while walking in Alberta art district-- i ordered the miso soup and a sushi roll -- with their house lemonade-- it ended up as the lemonade as best part of my dinner-- but the service was excellent and sitting outside was just perfect on this warm summer evening....
