Go to san sai. It’s like 5 blocks away, better food, cheaper and bigger portions.

The sake was sour, I think it went bad.

Great service, and the Green Machine roll is amazing.

Cameron the sushi chef made the most memorable experience at the sushi chef bar! It was my families first time and without knowing he exceeded our expectations for the experience! He deserves all the praise!!!!!!

Had a stellar experience here as someone with food allergies, everyone was very accommodating and had great recommendations! Zero notes.

Beautiful place, and it looks more like a bar style, not a restaurant. Good sushi & customer service.

P.S. The bathroom is clean 👌

We sat out on a warm evening, with an aim of a light dinner. Service is warm and friendly.

Kudos to the manager who managed very professionally an incident that occurred. I was a little worried that it could escalate though she handled it well. Thank you.

The food - the chix karage was nicely fried. Cucumber sunomono / salad and seaweed salad - decent. They are what you expect tho they are also hard to go wrong. We ordered one roll to try out - it tastes fine tho it isnt great.

The roll was kinda floppy and loose, and way too large (circumference wise). It was cut very thinly (about half an inch) and it probably was a practical choice as it is such a large / fat roll… tho it ruins the proportion and mouthfeel of how the roll should be. The ingredients of the roll were otherwise fresh and tasty.

To put it in the right context - I would not provide this feedback if this restie is not positioned as a sushi restaurant and is not so pricey.

Mediocre experience overall. Sashimi quality was average. Food came out fast; my server was inattentive the entire time and only showed up when I asked for the cheque. She needed someone to cover for her as the other servers could see me looking for someone to take my order. Overall, average for the price and won't return.

I should have ordered sushi!! I wanted warm food and ordered the cocked fish and cauliflower. Unfortunately, everything was cold!!! It’s a cute restaurant, service was great but I was not happy about the food. Maybe next time. Good looked great, I just wished it was not so cold .

Atmosphere was nice, but food and service was extremely disappointing. One of the rolls were completely forgotten and when the server finally made his appearance he stated it was forgotten... we didn't stick around to try the forgotten roll but food overall was so disappointing. I won't be back and wouldnt recommend this place to friends or co workers.

Bamboo is an often frequented establishment for me and my wife. The food met our high expectations and the service was very attentive without being obnoxious. We ordered the wagyu sliders, edamame for appetizers, my wife had a custom hand roll on soy paper and I had the specialty Roll “The Unicorn”.

The food was exquisite. The service was even better. I believe Mikahlo was our waiter’s name, and he was an utmost professional. His recommendations were spot on. He clearly knows and loves his job. He would be a good manager imo. Andrew also deserves an honorable mention as well.

Hands down the best tasting sushi in portland. quite expensive so I go pretty rarely, but it is such a nice treat when i have some saved up and can splurge on myself a little.

The fresh wasabi is divine and the king salmon is phenominal. If you can afford it, give it a try!
