The pros: the wine selection. I also love the vibe of the place - it feels like a cozy spot to hang with friends and people watch. The key drawback is the food experience. They specialize in tinned meats, so what you think certain seafood items look and taste is completely different from what you receive. It would have been nice to have received a full understand ing of this before ordering. The 3 is more like a 2.5.

What a lovely establishment with beautiful details and a welcoming and inviting vibe. From the chocolates on the counter to the carefully chosen tins of fish, to the friendly bartender and the delightful rose. Bar Botellon is a gem, where they really make you feel like you're the only customer in the place. This is my new favorite stop for a glass of wine and some delicious handmade tapas (try the marinated cheese and the sardines!!!!!!) I will be back!

If you haven’t stopped by this quaint NE Neighborhood wine bar it’s time that you get to it, the customer service, lite fare and drinks are on another level, also the vibe here is just right!

Aggressively charming, delightfully full of treats. Sat at the bar, learned a lot about sherry, nibbled some lovely treats. Will be back.

What an awesome find. We stopped at BAR Botellon while wandering east towards dinner reservations and it was a delightful surprise. Service was awesome, and the vibes were intimate. Tons of great wine and beer options, tapas were tasty, and the atmosphere relaxing. Highly recommend.

What a cute little place tucked in East Portland! They had a pretty small wine list for drinking (in my opinion), but it looked like they had a lot more to offer in bottles. There is a small market inside, with delectable choices of canned anchovies and other fish. Service was great.

Delicious wine and tapas and specials. They serve sangria too. One of our favorite spots in Portland. Definitely check out this place if you haven’t because you won’t be disappointed.

I was out for a lunchtime stroll when I stumbled across this gem. The owner greeted me with a smile and had my mouth watering with the suggestion of a panini. It was devine, thank you.

Great place to try some interesting (and great) wines paired with equally intriguing small bites.Update, they now have a small and very well curated grocery selection. Still Spanish in concept, and having just returned from Spain, it seems right on point. Still one of my favorite places for interesting and really great curated beer and wine selection. Highly recommended!

Stopped into Bar Botellon because they were participating in the Kuto apps Shop Small Win Big event! Glad we decided to take a break for wine & tapas here, everything was a delight including the employee working that day. We ordered some various pickles, breads, and tinned fishes as well as a few glasses of vino to enjoy. They have a nice selection of wines, including a decent number of dry sherrys. Will definitely return, love that they use Kuto!

I really enjoy supporting this neighborhood wine bar. The fellas behind the bar are super sweet. I make an effort to take out-of-town guests here for a glass and snack. It's a good casual date spot too. The manchego is sliced so thinly; it's delicious. It's a great spot for an afternoon libation. Have some olives, too!
