Nice bar and ambiance but $14+tip for an “Espresso Martini” that is not really a cocktail since the bartender just presses a button on a machine and hands the (tiny) glass to you is both overpriced and underwhelming. No real bartending work, no real cocktail, feels like the soda machine in a fast food. Come on Cala you can do better!

The drinks are as Instagrammable as the decor. The cocktails are creative, the vibe is trendy, and the crowd knows it. Service is solid, though the prices might make your wallet cringe. Pro tip: sip slow—it’s a splurge, but a tasty one.

Bar cala is very cute! Be prepared for it being spendier but don’t let that stop you from checking it out. The outdoor area is spacious with lots of seating. The inside decor feels fun and flirty. A great spot for a date or girls night! The drinks are very good as is the food. To save on money maybe just go for drinks though ✨

The food was good, the staff was very friendly and the bar is decorated lovely. The ONLY downside was it was freezing! It’s cold and raining and the fans are going and eventually the front door was kept open. All staff, and customers were bundled up in coats and hats. I would’ve loved to sit and order more drinks and visit with friends but I was shivering the whole time. I had to come home and take a hot shower, I was chilled to the bone. If that gets resolved it would be a regular spot for me and my friends.
Also they should have a weekday HH, that would get more customers in.

Came here with friends for a few drinks after dinner and sat on the patio.
I have mixed feelings about this place. It’s beautiful. The esthetic is very “LA”, so it definitely attracts a certain type.
The drinks were ok, I had a margarita and it was only ok. I had just had a margarita at a restaurant before coming here and it was much better.
My issues are this:
You have to wait at the bar to order. You also have to carry your drink to your table, ok that’s not terrible but the prices for the quality don’t match.
They also don’t give you a bill, just shove the handheld pos machine in your face. One of the bartenders had highlighted the 28% tip already - I’m sorry but he didn’t speak to me the whole time he was making the drinks, it took him forever and then he had there gall to highlight a 28% tip?
Atrocious! I also thought they had overcharged me because my credit card bill was weird. When I emailed them, politely suggesting that they overcharged me, after figuring out that the total was right, the response was so short and rude.
“Your total included tip. You were not overcharged”
That’s it. I was wrong, I wasn’t rude, but that kind of response is the nail in the coffin for me.
They also turn into a night club at 9:45 and shut down the patio. I just feel like they need to pick a lane and stay in it. And maybe work on your customer service attitude.
Won’t be back
