The perfect place for a date night filled with fun and Spanish tapas. We loved the sangria, the Roasted Romanesco cauliflower, and the Steak Banderilla. Our server was wonderful, we’ll definitely be back.

We sat at the bar and ordered the “and so on” cocktail and a beer, the atun crudo, the gildas, and the octopus. The atun crudo was my favorite. The atmosphere was lovely and the service was great!

We were drawn here from the warm ambience from the street. Food was amazing, it felt like an authentic tapas experience. Our group had an array of cocktails which all satisfied. Host / server were honest with us about our table time (we did not make a reservation) which was appreciated instead of being passive aggressive about moving us along. Would recommend to others and we plan to come back!

Great, authentic restaurant with some northwestern twists. Sangria is killer, Patatas Bravas is near 1:1 from when I traveled to Spain. Really enjoyed the tasting menu and the service is impeccable here. Also recommend the roasted cauliflower, some excellent flavors in that dish.

All in all, a pretty "chic" little tapas bar. Enjoyed everything for the most part; pretty eclectic menu, good service, nice atmosphere. Good place for a date as there aren't a lot of distractions like TVs or crazy wall art and gimmicks.
Only drawback was the compulsory 20% tip. They just add it to the bill so you don't have any say in addition to some small additional fee. They mention it when they bring the bill, not when you order and it isn't posted anywhere. It's an underhanded practice so for that reason we wont be back.
Tips, by definition, are an added "thank you" for exceptional service (hence the term "gratuity"). To sneak them in at the end, at higher than standard rate, is extortion.

Great atmosphere and food! Had the croquettes, octopus and orzo and mushrooms.
What an amazing dining experience. The drinks and the food are so well crafted. They compliment each other perfectly. Pulpo on point. Everything I put in my mouth was divine.

Perfect restaurant for a dinner date, atmosphere is elegant, sexy, lively, and moody. The food is amazing and the customer service is above and beyond. I would definitely recommend this place to

I have yet to find anything on either the food or drink menu that isn't delicious. In particular the gildas and gin drinks cannot be beat.

It wasn't a good experience. I went there without the expectation of matching real Spanish food (I knew pinchos and tapas were going to be a take on the original, and that's fine), but the disappointment was just how bad the food was.
The deviled eggs were good. Patatas bravas were too roasted, borderline burnt. Pulpo a la Gallega was awful, rubbery and too acidic. The Seared Diver Scallops were just meh, and left us feeling with a heavy stomach. I was told the Chorizo and Calamari a la Oloroso was bad (didn't try that personally) and also told the Arroz con Champiñones was decent. The chocolate cheesecake was bitter, not even the kids at the table finished it, what kid doesn't finish up their sugar?!
Service was good. Making and changing a reservation was easy. The place was very dark and loud.

We have gone to Bar Casa Vale many times in the last few year and have generally enjoyed our experience.
The wait staff is always pleasant and efficient.
Their red sangria… delicious… mmmm
Unfortunately tonight we ordered the whole shrimp. They were absolutely smothered in a thick red sauce and so over cooked I could hardly get them out of the shell. Not to mention the absolute mess trying to get that fussed shell off the little critters.
While they graciously comped them, I can’t help but wonder who’s orchestrating the menu and thinking about the less is more concept.
We had sever delicious dishes, but among our order was also the escarole salad. Again an over abundance of heavy thick smoked dressing was so plentiful I could not recommend it as the volume of dressing overwhelmed the delicate greens.
Hey Bar Casa Vale, it takes quite a bit to get me to post a review, but for my money, I’ll be going elsewhere in the future.
