When I first read the reviews, I thought this would be the best latte in Portland, but honestly, it wasn't amazing. I've had better experiences. The exterior of the coffee shop is kind of nice, and I liked the outdoor seating arrangement, it's great for enjoying a sunny day.

Seating arrangement is at the entrance of the building so not the most comfortable but the code is great, would 100% recommend!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5 — Nostalgic Vibes & Great Coffee
Barista Coffee Shop in downtown Portland has a very nostalgic feel — the wood floors and the faint crackling in the background give it a warm, classic atmosphere. The latte art is phenomenal and the flavor is solid. My Americano was a bit on the weak side during my first visit, but overall the coffee quality is very good.
Customer service is friendly and right where it should be. One suggestion would be to add more charging outlets in the café area — that would be a huge help for those of us working on laptops or trying to get some work done while enjoying coffee.
As a military veteran and a local business owner here in Portland, I was a bit surprised they don’t offer a military discount, but that’s just something to consider for the future.
All in all, it’s an awesome spot with a lot of character. Keep up the great work, Barista!

a cute and dog friendly place just right inside of a larger building. i love the little polaroids of dogs on the walls and how cozy it is. the atmosphere is perfect in my opinion though can get loud when there’s a large group of people. service can be slow but that’s because they are busy located in the middle of the pearl district. i like the music they play but i’m just a huge music junkie. i got an iced matcha latte with vanilla. it’s a little too much milk for me personally and i noticed that they don’t make the matcha in house but they use either a concentrate or whisk it out of house. overall i really like this place but wouldn’t get the matcha again. maybe they make better coffee so i’ll have to come back and try that instead

Their coffee is great, some of my favorite. However the service turned me off. It wasn't busy, there was only one person waiting for their drink and I was the only person in line. The guy didn't even acknowledge me then he turned to do something else. The whole time he is talking to the barista, he glances at me and says nothing and keeps doing what he was doing at the counter. He finally walks over but it was like I was bothering him asking for coffee? Super uncomfortable, plenty of other places around there to try out.

I've gotten coffee here a couple of times now and will say the service and coffee is very good. Not the coziest coffee shop as it's a bit of a walk through for other business but the seating is fine.
I will caution against the pastries with out a check first. Not sure who they source their food from but I've gotten stale pastries twice. Nothing more disappointing than a $6 dollar stale croissant. Not saying don't get them, just maybe check your pasty before you leave.

First off, I love the building - very cool redbrick with outdoor seating in The Pearl. Perfect on a sunny Portland day. They have three quality coffees to choose from and they use Oatly - my fave oat milk. I've had really good lattes here, and I've had a few that are just not hot enough for me, but I have to give Barista 5 stars overall because when my latte is HOT, it's one of the best lattes in town.
One of the best cup of coffee ever had. I had a latte and it was very smooth and creamy.
The cafe space is relaxing and well curated, industrial vibe. Indoor and outdoor patio seating. Highly recommend this to all coffee lovers!

The Valrhona Mocha is the best mocha I have ever had. Pair it with a slice of banana bread and there you have the best coffee pastry combo! Staff is super nice and the atmosphere is very clean and cozy.

Great flat white and cool place to hang outside
I've only had a single oat milk latte here, but it might be the best I've ever drank. I'll be back to try some more espresso focused options so I can validate I wasn't hallucinating, but I'm super happy to have Barista in the neighborhood. It's worth noting that they don't have a ton of seating and probably more of a grab and go type place.
