Flavorful chicken thighs- very well seasoned! Dan Dan fries are among the best I have ever had- fresh flavors and fries stayed crunchy even in all the yummy peanut sauce!! Huge portions… well too big for a lady to finish! :-) requested hot sauce in the side, glad we did as it was pretty spicy.

Basically, it’s a 3-star chicken sandwich (maybe 3.5-star) at a 5-star price. Really no frills at all. Kind of dry, honestly. And the tap water they served was lukewarm. I’d much rather spend $7 at Chick Fila than $17 here.

Food couldn't have been better - see pics - it's as good as it looks. We loved our beers.

I was excited to try their spicy chicken sandwich based on its reputation, but the to-go experience was a complete disaster. The sandwich itself might be good, but I’ll never know because the packaging was so poorly done. They practically threw the sandwich into the to go box. As soon as I opened the box, it splashed all over me and my car’s interior, leaving a greasy mess that was a nightmare to clean. This level of carelessness for to-go orders is unacceptable. I expected better from a place with such hype. Won’t be returning unless they fix their takeout game.
Really delicious fried chicken. Mac salad is 10/10. The people that work there are always awesome. They also do soft serve ice cream with different kool-aid flavors.

I can’t describe it as anything other than a huge disappointment.
1. The fries were bare minimum, and a bit oversalted. McDs, Carls, Red Robin, or Chick-fil-A’s fries are all better.
2. The chicken was nothing special, just fried chicken u could get from the Safeway Deli.
3. The prices are outrageous. $13 for the sandwich and $5 for the fries. An extra $1.50! for a drizzle of hot sauce if you want spicy.
4. The service was underwhelming. Not rude, just didn’t have a care in the world. Actually forgot I ordered spicy so I had to go ask for a side of hot sauce.
5. The building/strip Basilisk is located in is pretty dirty. The bathrooms were nasty. The water provided on tap was warm.
I don’t write negative reviews very often but this place really made me feel like I got robbed. Don’t buy the hype from the pictures of the huge sandwich.

Wow, crazy chicken sandwich. I had like post chicken sandwich clarity though. I got the dan dan fries and I mean I love the concept and the fries were really crispy and great, it’s just the peanut sauce is pretty salty and heavy. Perhaps a lighter version of the sauce would make the fries 10x better.
