My husband brought me here for my birthday brunch. I’m gluten free, legume free and mostly dairy free. This place is all of those! Amazing fresh options and a cozy indoor and outdoor environment. We ordered the Chicken Soupe Au Pistou and shared the Sweet Waffle Potato & Acorn Waffle. The soup was amazing! The waffle was really good but definitely not sweet like a traditional waffle. ✨ I only wish I lived closer.

My son stopped at Bastions this past June 2025 and purchased 2 good sizes of your coffee cake. It was exceptional and so moist. We couldn't put our forks down! We're the ones who purchased a pecan pie from bastions last Christmas and a pumpkin pie last Thanksgiving. Both outstanding! Everything we've tried is excellent including the donuts. It's great to have a wonderful place that bakes without gluten, dairy and cane sugar! Thank you! Theresa

Staff are absolutely amazing, the meals and baked goods are fantastic, the atmosphere is lovely. Big fan of the salmon hash and the green smoothy.

This is my favorite place in Portland, and possibly all of Oregon. I come here every time I pass through Portland.
