We tried BHP bc Hot Pot City was closed. Oh my. What a treat! If, like me, you are heartbroken that HPC closed, BHP has been waiting for you. Instead of AYCE, they bring out a mass of food. Plenty of beef and beautifully marbled pork. There was a basket of cabbage and bok choy. A tray w tofu, clear noodles, enoki mushrooms, meatballs and tofu sheets. Never had them before and they were quite tasty. And, the handmade noodles!! We had the split half spicy, half regular broth. My brother eats chile peppers whole. He could handle the spicy. I love spicy but next time I will go regular and dip in chile oil. The broth is very tasty even before you start cooking. I wish I saved room to drink it all, but we were stuffed. You could easily feed three and enjoy potsticker and more veggies. We will definitely be back!!Parking: BHP is setback from the street, in the back of the parking lot.i had a navigator who directed me. I would have passed it.

Now this was a wonderful hot pot experience. Everyone is talking about the spicy broth because it is the very best! We got the half and half with spicy and the nourish broth. Hot pot for two fed us very well, the chili crisp was so flavorful, i could not stop eating! I will bring my friends and family next time. I could not be happier!

The staff here was so friendly and attentive. The broth is the best I have had at any hot pot place. Large portions at a very reasonable price. Absolutely

Love that it’s family owned and a cute hole in the wall. Food was delicious and honest. Noodles were delicious! My spice level tends to be very high so the spicy options weren’t spicy at all but still VERY tasty (broth and hot chili oil). That being said, if you don’t have a high spice tolerance, I’d invite you to try their available options! :)

Stayed in Portland for a week and this restaurant is a must-try. The new DIY cooked hot pot takeout is soooo good. Friendly staff and chill atmosphere.

I love this spot and my bf have been there a few times recently but the building is very run down and there isn’t proper ventilation. With all the burners on it makes the building very humid and the floors slick. One couple asked to sit in a different spot because the ceiling was dripping from the all the humidity and I saw a kid slip and fall from the wet floors. Also the vegetables had dirt on them the last time we went. Great service and food but overall the restaurant is dirty and rundown. So disappointing since the food is so good!

Great food, great service, wait staff was very nice! This was our first time eating hot pot, we have seen pictures and always wanted to try it, and it did not disappoint! The waitress was very nice and patient in explaining how to prepare a bowl and recommended us to the perfect assortment of chicken, beef, pork, mushrooms, cabbage, 2 types of noodles, etc. We will become repeat customers. Thank you Beijing Hot Pot Restaurant for taking care of us!

Don't be worried, this place is the real deal. The four of us newbies went in Hot Pot rookies. We all maybe had just a YouTube for reference. Our hostess gave us the lowdown as we were intimidated. The ceramic top in the middle of the table. The smell is probably gonna overwhelm you. The lingering smell of something you can't quite pin down, greatness. The spicy broth is so frickin perfect you will question things. Like why are my mouth and lips simultaneously spicy and hot at once but I can't stop? Why is everything tasty spicy? Why are there so many edible mushrooms that taste good spicy? Then after the flurry of questions in the peak heat of spice, clarity. It subsides. The spice wanes. You realize you have more to throw in the Hot Pot.No alcohol and I think that's a good idea. You're already burning your table mates with scalding broth as you battle over Bok Choy and thin strips of delicious pork and beef. Your spouse becomes your enemy, your broth spoon becomes your ally. There are no friends at the Hot Pot it quickly is realized; there are only obstacles in the path of Hot Pot enlightenment.Vegetarian options: It's bone broth?

Extremely delicious, huge portions. Their hot pot for two is enough to feed three, which makes it’s price a HUGE steal. 100% recommend, instantly a classic we’ll be returning to when we’re in the area.

The menu offered a variety of fresh ingredients, including thinly sliced meats, vegetables, and an array of dipping sauces. The hot pot broth was rich and flavorful, with options ranging from mild to spicy, catering to all taste preferences.I was really pleased with the selection, and the place left a lasting impression with its authentic flavors and inviting atmosphere, making it a must-visit for lovers of Chinese cuisine in Portland.
