We dined at Bellpine at it was spectacular. The only thing that surpassed the food in excellence was our server David. He was personable and made the experience so fun. We will be back. Thank you David for the stellar service!

This might be the best place in Portland. It's the Ritz so expectations were high but all were exceeded. David was our server and he was attentive, personable, and just amazing. We will definitely be coming back and we highly recommend this place for it's incredible food, drinks, atmosphere, and service.

We opted for the shared small plates so we could try more dishes. We were pleasantly surprised with the depth of flavors and creativity of each dish. We especially enjoyed the wagyu beef tartare and the geoduck clam with avocado dishes. We ended the meal with the forest themed dessert which was outstanding. Overall an excellent meal.

Love the decor. A calming contemporary look very stylish. Can't beat the view. Service was excellent. Food was good had lunch not sure if I'd want to pay the dinner prices.

We had a wonderful dinner. Truly the best service in Portland. Everything on the menu looked good, so we ordered 5-6 of the small plates to share. We each got a cocktail and a glass of wine. My Freeland Spirits Gin dirty gin martini was the most expensive thing we ordered. $30 for a martini! It's my go to drink and I've never paid more than $18. So other than that, value was excellent and we would return... just wouldn't order a martini next time.

It didn't start out so well, but after voicing our concerns, bartender Theodore stepped up and made everything right. He moved us to a new table, took care of every need, provided exceptional service and made sure our food was cooked perfectly. Kudos to Theo and his commitment to service excellence! Thank you.

An appetizer dinner, not appetizingDecember 28, 2023My wife and I celebrated her birthday via appetizers, so like a appetizer, exclusive, dinner, as we thought the dinner, entrées (salmon or ribeye) was sticker shocking expensive for 2 ($140 salmon, $240 for the ribeye). The appetizers weren't that tasty. Thus we're glad we didn't get the main course. The Wagyu beef waffle sounded good, but in the end did not taste good, or even look good. It was served as cold, which is the intent, and it was a poor decision. The shrimp and grits corn dog also sounded daring, but was underwhelming as they basically just served us a corndog pretty much had no idea where the shrimp and grits were, possibly it was covering the dog via deep fried?. So that was a $19 flop I could have gotten at 7-11 for cheaper. The albacore and Wagyu beef tartare was too salty and we asked to take it back. Finally, since it was my wife's birthday, we ordered their dessert, Bellpine’s version of ice cream. Each scoop was dime sized, small enough to where the ice cream melted pretty quickly almost to the point it got to our mouths. And did I mention it was my wife's birthday? You wouldn't know that because we didn't get treated different or anything, special desserts for birthday people, not even a candle. This experience was well short of a fine dining experience. Totally not worth the money in today's inflation world.

The view is spectacular, we ate the salmon which was tasty and cooked to perfection, the sides were a little underwhelmoing and the desserts are artistic and culinary masterpieces.

Fantastic, top notch experience of food, hospitality and spectacular view.We went for a special birthday dinner and were very warmly greeted by two hosts and shown to our lovely table. For dinner we shared the salmon (which was a huge portion) and the four sides that came with it and also got two deserts. The salmon was delicious--rich, juicy and plump. We also loved the sides of mashed potatoes with mozzarella, roasted vegetables and a tomato salad. The servings were so generous that we had enough for lunch the next day. The chocolate-mushroom desert was presented as a miniature enchanted mushroom forest which was all sweet and edible, just beautiful.Special shout-out to our server Angie, who was gracious, relaxed and responsive. After dinner we walked around the dining room a bit to look around and Angie showed us to a small outside deck from which to enjoy an even more spectacular view than we had at our table. We have both eaten at many fine restaurants in the US and in Europe and we felt this was one of the best meals with the finest hospitality that we have ever experienced.Cannot wait to go again!

We loved our tasting dinner at Bellpine. We tried a variety of different items and shared one dessert that was a work of art. Our server was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions and gave several great recommendations. My only suggestion may be to add another salad, and some individual serving larger plates.

Desserts are plated works of art beyond your traditional experience. Feast for eyes and palate - every dish. Julius (caesar & raspberry) salad (with anchovies on the side) were beautiful and flavorful, with the dressing imbedded inside the lettuce "cups". Miso cabbage rolls with wild mushrooms made us just say Ahhh! Cornbread was extraordinary, more like a dessert tart with corn topping. The King Salmon grand plate satisfied all 3 of us - baked to perfection. Simply an exquisite dinner with a breathtaking view - for a special birthday dinner. Gluten free & vegetarian options scored! A bit spendy, but hey, it's the Ritz!

Amazing experience with the best staff above and beyond most knowledgeable and caring people I've ever met. It was our engagement and they made it extra special for us. Thank you
