Felt like they didn't want my business here

Upon entering the location, one of the employees with fluffy hair and glasses immediately said a disrespectful comment. They gave disgusted and unwanted looks, refused to serve us any ice cream. A second staff member there took our entire order. I believe this person should be fired for making me feel extremely uncomfortable and disrespected. No customer service skills at all.

This review is for the amazing service that I received from Myah during my recent visit. Myah was so friendly and accommodating. She let me sample a couple options before I selected the flavor that I liked best. Myah went above and beyond to offer an excellent customer experience and I really appreciated her kindness! Thanks again Myah! I will be back.

This locations hours are so unreliable. Tonight we went and the store was supposed to close at 7 PM. The clerk was closing up the front door at 6 :10 PM. I asked her for her ice cream and she said no she was leaving, I questioned the hours and she started swearing at me and was extremely volatile. Check your cameras Ben and Jerry”s this girl need to be fired!! Other people wanted in for ice cream and she refused service to everyone. Shame on you!

To my Celiac brethren: they don't have good allergy protocols here. When I said I had Celiacs the employee just handed me a binder with ingredients and nutrition information. She said she could get a clean scoop from the back but the ice cream in the front is already cross contaminated so that's not helpful. I asked if she could scoop from a fresh container in the back (Tillamook and Salt & Straw do this) and she said she couldn't. She said she could scrape the top layer off whatever ice cream I wanted but that sounded very unappealing and I wasn't confident it would solve the cross contact problem. It's a shame because Ben & Jerry's have some good gluten free ice creams but they didn't have any that was safe for me to eat. Instead I got to sit around and watch my husband and kids eat ice cream.

I recently ordered online a Ben & Jerry’s ice cream cake for the 1st time, for my daughter‘s birthday. The flavors in the cake were delicious, but my daughter noticed that there was no actual layer of crumbled brownies that we had specified in our online order. I believe this might have been omitted by accident. No one at her party could find any cake layer of crumbled brownies. So the cake turned out to be just various kinds of ice cream and icing on top. We weren’t expecting that. This review is to just to let the public know. We had never ordered an ice cream cake at at Ben & Jerry’s before and were disappointed by having no cake-like layer of brownie crumbles. But on the positive side, the employees and service are friendly and great, the cake was ready on time, and the different ice cream flavors & icing were very good.

Parking: There are spots for temporary parking only. But they were full. I had to find a parking garage.

Look it’s a Ben & Jerry’s chain restaurant there’s nothing exceptional about it, but the ice cream is good. This location could have been a little bit cleaner, but the staff was extremely friendly and offered samples. The ice cream as always is a tiny bit overpriced, but if you’re looking for something quick and sweet, this is a good option.

Ben & Jerry's Catering (New Avenues for Youth),
I can't rave enough about the pleasant, worry-free experience I had with Erica from Ben & Jerry's Catering at the Yamhill shop in Portland. Of the 3 Ben & Jerry's shops I contacted in Portland, she was far and away the most responsive and helpful! In a year of researching, shopping, planning and choosing vendors for my daughter and son-in-law's wedding, my experience with Erica was one of the best! I checked all the ice cream caterer's in the area. Most of them were quite expensive and had limits, restrictions, and extra charges once you got down to an estimate. Erica was one of the most easy-going, honest, cooperative vendors I had the pleasure of working with. She was so responsive and agreeable to all my questions and requests! When I was concerned about not having a choice for our handful of gluten-intolerant guests, she offered to bring some berry sorbets. As always, Ben & Jerry's ice cream is excellent and they offer so many unique and delicious options! To top it all off, Erica informed me that when you hire Ben & Jerry's Catering, you're also supporting New Avenues for Youth which provides job training to youth experiencing housing instability. While some of the B&J's corporate liberal causes don't appeal to me, anything supporting and taking care of vulnerable little ones and youth has my utmost support! We felt honored that in celebrating my daughter & son-in-law's special day, we were also able to contribute to an important cause. Thank you Erica for being such a joy to work with!!

Awesome little ice cream store, not a lot of seating inside but I would recommend walking around the neighborhood as you enjoy your sweet treat.

A bit pricey when compared to a grocery store cost of ice cream but it’s perfect if you’re nearby craving something sweet. I recommend the berry sorbet.

No parking lot but lots of cheap street parking nearby.

I wish I had grabbed the employees name because I've never experienced such horrible service like this. Went in around 2:30 pm on 7/18/24 and there were two guys working.

The young white guy who was wearing a red beanie was insanley rude. He seemed like he was being held against his will to work there, he seemed miserable to be there. My friend greeted him when we walked in and was like "hi how's it going?" And he mumbled a response back.

When I went to check out (for a single kids cup) he said "$11.84" and I thought I heard him wrong and I said "sorry how much?" And he said "$11.84" and I asked "for a kids up?"

And he responded with "that's what I said".

My friend turned to him asked "$11.84 for a kids cup?" And then he said "oh I thought they were together". No apology or nothing.

He also gave me barely a scoop while my friends (who's was scooped by the other guy) was overflowing.

Do better Ben and Jerry's and hire friendly people.

I have never felt more unsafe in an ICE CREAM SHOP in my life. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. The male workers working there this evening were intimidating, rude, and forced me out of the shop a half hour before closing, saying they were "closed." I sincerely hope these employees are fired immediately so no one has to deal with what I just went through.
