Bergerac offers a warm and cozy dining experience. Staff graciously answers questions about the menu items' ingredients and the food is perfectly cooked and served. Portions are generous and I look forward to having my leftovers for dinner tonight.
Bergerac always has the most amazing food, flavorful and varied textures! The service is outstanding, caring about the individual and personal needs. They happily adapt menus to special food requirements. A place to enjoy a magnificent meal.
We ordered the Christmas dinner to go — every single component of the dish was on point, perfectly seasoned and balanced. The reheat instructions were simple but thorough, and it was hands down the best Christmas Eve dinner I've ever had.
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Bergerac. We started with escargot, paired with Oregon Chardonnay. We then had the pear salad, which was absolute perfection. For our next course, we had the house pate plate with house made pickles, which we paired with Oregon Pinot. And our main dish was the salt cured duck confit. YUM!
The food is incredible. Like re-visiting France. The Beef Bourgenon was tasty and flavorful without being overpowering. My date loved the Duck Confit. Definitely going back.
Experience was very nice. Food was excellent. The surface was pleasant and efficient. The prices are pretty reasonable in this day and age for the quality and tastiness of the food. The the starter/appetizer offerings are excellent. We had the fondue which was well worth it. In fact, having the fondue, a salad, and a dessert would be a very nice meal. But it would be a shame to miss out on the salmon, the cassoulet which is something one doesn't see very often, or the duck. We will return.
Nothing but high praise in every aspect of our experience at Bergerac's for my wife's birthday. She is still talking about how much she enjoyed the complete experience for her birthday.
What a gem! Perfectly prepared food and presentation. Wine recommendations were spot on! The sweetest couple who definitely have the greatest french comfort spot in Portland.
I had the best cassoulet I have had since I moved to Portland pre-Covid! We all love the salad! My new fave place to go! Thank you! Leezee Porter
Special dinner featuring nuts in each course. Well thought out and executed. Would do again.

Bergerac is a good choice for friends dining together; that is always proven because that's what we see when we go there for a delicious meal always. We love it. Local and yummy and they treat you well, what's not to like?
Pleasant dining experience. Food was wonderful, however we stuck to starters and salads for this trip.
Fantastic little bistro with a cozy and relaxed atmosphere. Our server was amazing and the food was filling delicious. Would return here again anytime.
We overall had a nice evening. The place is warm, the waitress knowledgeable. The food, a nice change. We spent $55 per person including drinks, deserts and tip. There is room for improvement though. The cassoulet beans were very salty, the duck was dry. The lamb dish, was good but the meat was dry as well. From my wife, who had the coq au vin, the feedback was: it's ok. My daughter enjoyed the fish plate.
Classic French food. Husband is celiac. Many options on the menu. Great wine list! Wine is well priced.
