I had the best cassoulet I have had since I moved to Portland pre-Covid! We all love the salad! My new fave place to go! Thank you! Leezee Porter
Special dinner featuring nuts in each course. Well thought out and executed. Would do again.
Bergerac is a good choice for friends dining together; that is always proven because that's what we see when we go there for a delicious meal always. We love it. Local and yummy and they treat you well, what's not to like?
Pleasant dining experience. Food was wonderful, however we stuck to starters and salads for this trip.
Fantastic little bistro with a cozy and relaxed atmosphere. Our server was amazing and the food was filling delicious. Would return here again anytime.
We overall had a nice evening. The place is warm, the waitress knowledgeable. The food, a nice change. We spent $55 per person including drinks, deserts and tip. There is room for improvement though. The cassoulet beans were very salty, the duck was dry. The lamb dish, was good but the meat was dry as well. From my wife, who had the coq au vin, the feedback was: it's ok. My daughter enjoyed the fish plate.
Classic French food. Husband is celiac. Many options on the menu. Great wine list! Wine is well priced.
We had a delicious meal. Great service. We enjoyed the clams and fondue appetizer. I had the poisson which was perfectly prepared. I had the lemon posset dessert, so yummy!

P/s: our dessert was cream brûlée, lemon posset and Rosé drinks for our anniversary 🥰 Thank you.

We love this restaurant... It has a neighborhood intimate feel and the staff are delightful. The food is very French and very delicious. We will be back.

We have been going to Bergerac's since they opened 10 years ago. We go monthly to their 'event dinners.' The sad thing about the event dinners is that the menu items will never be served again. If you've never been to Bergerac's and love mushrooms, you should definitely order their Mushroom Toast. It comes with tossed greens and is filling enough that you may not need a full Entree. My husband and I each got the Mushroom toast and then shared the Duck Parmentier. Both were delicious. At the event dinners the noise level becomes very energetic, but on a regular night it is quiet with nice French music playing in the background. Being regulars, the wait staff knows us and our preferences and has my tea ready for me when I arrive, and lemon slices for my husband. One thing I can't stop thinking about that Joris had for one of the event dinners was French toast for dessert. I really want it again! I'm hoping, one day, he might added it to the dessert menu. Barring that, maybe he'll share the recipe.
Service was great. Food and Wine delicious. Music was very nice and not too loud. Great for special occasions!
Exactly as I expected, top notch all the way. We had the escargo and pork belly to start. Both were excellent. I enjoy the plating of the escargot with the great looking shells. For the main I had Beef Bourguignon. It was melt in your mouth tender, and absolutely delicious. My dinner companion had the poison (sockeye salmon) and clams. There wasn't a bite left on the plate. I'll be back to have the Cassoulet, which I have had in Carcasonne France. It is a very filling dish, so I want to be extra hungry because I know I am going to want to eat every bite. lol

Cozy, romantic, delicious, and unpretentious. Such a memorable evening!! Cest ci bon!! Merci!
Terrible experience! Very poor representation of French food. We waited over an hour to get our food. The Sockeye Salmon was fishy and when we complained to the waitress she responded that Sockeye Salmon from Alaska is fishy. I have bought Sockeye from Alaska twice the past few years and the waitress doesn't know what she's talking about! We replaced the fish dish with the beef. Only to be further disappointed! The Beef Bourguignon was more like a broth rather than a rich flavorful sauce. And, the Duck Parmentier was dry! Meals are overpriced, especially considering how poor a quality the food. We do not recommend this restaurant!!
