We have been going to Bergerac's since they opened 10 years ago. We go monthly to their 'event dinners.' The sad thing about the event dinners is that the menu items will never be served again. If you've never been to Bergerac's and love mushrooms, you should definitely order their Mushroom Toast. It comes with tossed greens and is filling enough that you may not need a full Entree. My husband and I each got the Mushroom toast and then shared the Duck...
They had the best escargot I've had in years! Most places make it way too buttery for my taste. Bergerac's was just right and all the other food was great too. The noise level was also nice and low so the focus could be on conversation rather than someone's playlist blaring over the speakers. I will go back.
The service was top notch. Sadly I found the food not up to the same standard. I felt like the chef only tiptoed to the edge when it came to flavors. As an example we ordered escargot and missing was the lovely garlicky flavor and aroma. For some this may be a plus, but not for me.
