I didn't think it was possible to find good bagels outside of New York!!! I'm from New York, and this is my go-to bagel spot! Their bagels are chewy and dense (but not TOO dense!), the whitefish salad is always on point and I love the rotating special cream cheese. And the UTZ chips!!! Love this place. The team is always SUPER friendly and it makes my day.
The only negative thing--at some point earlier this year, the trout salad maybe changed?? I use to order it weekly but then it seemed like it was mixed with potatoes or something and it wasn't as good. Thankfully everything else rocks <3

This was the worst bagel sandwich I have ever had. The bagel was so dry, hard, and rubbery that my jaw is sore after eating it. There was enough cream cheese schmear on this thing for 3 or 4 bagels. Don't get me wrong, I love a good schmear on my bagels but this was ridiculously overloaded. Since when did arugula become the default green for everything. It's horribly bitter and not appropriate for a breakfast sandwich especially in the amount that was piled on this sando. Way too much. Where they went way overboard with the schmear and the arugula they completely underachieved with the prosciutto. One very thin slice of prosciutto that was a waste of the effort to even put it on there. The egg square was meh. Kinda flavorless and dry but I couldn't really tell since the schmear and arugula took over the flavor of everything. It would be 1 star but I gave it 2 because once I peeled as much of the small salads worth of arugula out of the huge mound of schmear, I could kind of actually eat the thing but I'll have to take an ibuprofen for the jaw pain from chewing that bagel.

Best bagels in Portland imo. This from an east coast bagel snob. They're solid with a great chewy crust. Friendly staff, great sandwiches, vegan options, and they have various flavors of cream cheese both to put on or take away in a separate container. If you just want a great bagel or bagel sandwich, or a baker's dozen for your Sunday brunch or work meeting, this is the place.
Absolute killer bagels, solid coffee, and amazing service! Can’t believe I haven’t written a review for this crew of bagel magicians! They’re quintessential to this city’s bagel breakfast scene and couldn’t see this city without them.

If u love bagels, you’ll love this spot. Not only is their selection of bagels phenomenal, their shmears rotate seasonally and they use local ingredients! not too much shmear, so no worries there.
can’t say enough about the folks working here either - it’s felt that they genuinely enjoy creating these delicious doughy delights. gratuity free, so no extra mathing, or worrying about the service industry dance.
