To owners…you need to change your attitude or hire someone with better attitude. Food was okay. Try some real Chinese food before giving them 4/5 stars. Tried once, it was enough, not coming back.

They stop selling meals here. They only sell items hanging and offerings being displayed in the warmer. No meals per say of any type. Very disappointing.

Best Taste is the place to go for roast duck and pork and for an affordable price if you're in the Division area of Portland. The aroma of roast pork will be evident the moment you walk into the restaurant and it honestly made me hungry. The pork was juicy, succulent and crispy. Pretty much everything you want in a piece of pork and you get a ton of it for a good price. The restaurant itself doesn't look like it was maintained and some clean up might need to be done throughout the restaurant. They primarily do to-go orders but the wait isn't long on normal days. I picked up 5 servings of the roast pork on thanksgiving day but called about a week prior to the pick up date. The line on thanksgiving ran out the door so be sure to call ahead of time if you're wanting to pick up duck or pork on the holiday.

The fact that the chinese food quality in Portland is at this degree. And people still have the audacity to put good review for them. You are either never had ACTUAL good chinese food before. Or you are a pay actor.A roast pork look as blend as their, and lack the roast color and taste. It pretty much taste like hot water boil pork. And people call that tasty.

The sign in their restaurant says $10/lb for BBQ pork. The guy at the counter entered $13.8/lb in the scale's unit price. Therefore, he wanted me to pay $15.87 on a 1.15lb BBQ pork. I confronted him and the lady behind the counter started to yell at me and told me just to give them $11.50. She acted like I didn't understand 1.15lb costs $11.50. They are rude and disrespectful. I will not come back.

Southern Chinese comfort food close to home cooking.

Don't be scared by the exterior of the building, it's a gem inside. Ordered a whole roast pig for a family party at $10 a pound. You have to order it a week in advance but if it's close to a holiday even earlier is better. It was so good, and my family was so happy and honestly they are hard to please especially coming from California where they have tons of options. It was roasted to perfection and seasoned heavily so each piece had a ton of flavor. You have to pay a deposit for the wooden board/trough for the pig and it looks great for pictures! We decided to taste test first a few weeks in advance before committing to a whole pig and bought about a pound ($13 per pound). (We did a taste test at their competition and Best Taste blew it away) That same day we bought the taste test, we ended up picking up some dim sum to go with it. The dim sum has the key basics at a better price than others, it tasted fine...I wouldn't say it's anything to write home about.

I'm giving this place 5 stars because they have traditional zhongzi (sticky rice with meat, egg and peanuts wrapped in a bamboo leaf) and it's the only place in Portland ive found that makes it.The duck is good too, although the rice could use more dippings but this place is like a blast from the past : nostalgic Chinese home cooked food with no fancy frills. Price is a little on the steep side due to the increasing cost of supplies and meats (thanks covid). But I got 2 meats and rice for $15 and a zhongzi for $3.50 ( that one is a huge deal, highly recommended you stock up on that!)Definitely will be back. Might just do the duck rice plate for 12.50 next time.

Bought a whole bbq duck for $25. You can get duck, chicken, and a few dimsum items. Everything was to-go. Prices are reasonable. People are super nice.
