Two nights in a row at Bethanys Table.
Friday night for after a busy week. It was so lovely to be back.
French 75 with Empress gin—balanced, gone.
The food is honest and thoughtful. I ordered the tribal-caught Chinook on a delicate lemon vodka beure blanc. Beautiful presentation.
The next night, I returned for a wine pairing dinner. Prix fixe menu. We sat at long tables. Fantastic pairings with Tuscan wines from CapAnna in the Montosoli area.
Incredible service—attentive—a big draw for coming back.
Cozy, welcoming atmosphere.
Thank you, Chef Janet, for two fantastic evenings.

We had a really unfortunate experience this afternoon. I had read several reviews and was really excited to go for happy hour/ early dinner. We moved into the neighborhood recently and I’ve been looking for a spot to replace my previous hang out. Bethany’s Table seemed so promising. However, when we arrived around 4:20 we were greeted by an annoyed looking hostess. Keep in mind, there were only TWO tables with people sitting at them at the time. I asked if she could seat us (2 adults, 2 kids). She responded, “You know it’s happy hour, right?” Yeah, so? She said all the tables were booked for dinner. (But again only 4 people in the whole restaurant at the time). We asked if we could sit at one of the tables in the shade on the completely empty patio (it was 87 today). She said no, they have a private party coming in there later. We asked if we could sit at one of the (again ALL EMPTY) tables out front, as long as it was in the shade because kids and 87 degrees in the sun don’t mix well. There were 2 in the shade we could see directly, but she said “maybe I have a table on the side”. I asked, “Is it in the shade?” She responded, “I don’t know. I’m busy.”
We won’t be going back. Which makes me sad because the menu looks great.

Great restaurant in the Bethany area for gourmet food and a great drink selection. The gluten free pizza from Radii Pi is a family favorite as well.

I was excited to try the food at Bethany’s Table because of the many positive reviews.
Dinner got off to a great start with some excellent bread and salad. The decor and music in the restaurant is also pleasant and sets a nice atmosphere.
Unfortunately, my party’s entrées were underwhelming for the price. I had the “spicy” sausage rigatoni which was tasty but not spicy at all. The $42 salmon was also a small portion and not any better than what you could grill at home.
The service was average. No complaints, but nothing exceptional.
It wasn’t a horrible experience by any means, but I don’t plan on returning.
Awesome! We love going there. Food is great, as is the service.

Troy was our server - we sat at the bar. However, I noticed this is an all hands restaurant - loved it. Total team concept - everyone contributes to the customer experience. We split a Lasagna, a smokey Rogue salad and the artichoke hearts. All were spot on. A kick ass Barola to pair with everything and finally the ice cream special and Pot de Creme for dessert. We will absolutely return. Thanks gang!!

My husband and I made reservations here for our wedding anniversary, leaving a note about our celebration in the reservation information. Nobody acknowledged, or asked, what we were celebrating. Drinks, appetizer, dinner, and dessert were all finished within an hour of being seated; I had to ask for a dessert menu.
The table next to us had the daily specials recited to them twice, but we didn't hear about them once.
The food was tasty and presented well, and the staff was friendly. Despite this, dinner felt rushed with no personal touches regardless of the semi upscale location and price point.
I left this review directly with the restaurant when they emailed me asking how the reservation went, and was surprised to hear back directly from the owner. He did apologize for the lack of personal touch and offered to make it right by sending us a gift voucher, but that never arrived.

We couldn’t have asked for a better place for our rehearsal dinner - Lauren, Tommy and Ari (and the bartender, who’s name I didn’t catch) were phenomenal and took impeccable care of our entire party.
I can’t begin to talk about the food - it was so good, we made it a point to finish the portion of polenta and shrimp we took home before leaving on our honeymoon! I could honestly rave about every course.
We can’t wait to come back for date night!
Great place to grab a bottle of wine and eat some delicious food. Best pasta I have had in a very long time. Cozy atmosphere with very friendly staff. Recommend having reservations before coming.

Very delicious steak and steelhead😋
We had a wonderful dinner at Bethany's Table. I was thrown by the appearance of my Lasagna, but it tasted delightful. The atmosphere was relaxed as if you were setting in someone's home. Great conversation and food.
It was so nice to see in Portland's ruins of the food industry that there is still a place that could provide you with a classic restaurant service. You can't be right for everyone all the time, but this guy's hit all stars in our experience. Service was spotless, not annoying, not fake, but truly caring and perfectly timed. The food was great, cocktails and wine lists are on a spot, and bartenders could make you one on a fly based on your desire. We live close by and will definitely come back.
Thank you guys for surviving and thriving in such a hard time for the restaurant industry. Keep it up.
We visited this restaurant twice and loved it twice. Amazing venue for couples, to enjoy delicious food paired with a bottle of wine.
The food was delicious but overall experience was disappointing for Mother’s Day Brunch. 4 stars due to food quality and benefit of the doubt given since it was a special menu.
We had a reservation for 2pm and were not informed they close at 3pm so barely had time to finish our meal.
The waitress was rude out of the gate and clearly was frustrated she had to take our order. Despite only one other group being in the restaurant, she was absent through the entire meal.
The pastries (part of the $45 pre-set menu) were forgotten and weren’t brought out until we asked about it after our meals arrived. When they did arrive there was only 3 small pastries for a group of 6.
If the waitress had simply been present and communicated with us this would have been a much better experience.
