INCREDIBLE FOOD and so many vegan and gluten free options. The Chef is so kind and the atmosphere is so clean and welcoming. Worth making the trip out from Vancouver.

Delicious food, warm hospitality.
A must try!
I don't know how there isn't a line of persons outside this restaurant waiting to have the privilege of eating here.
With the first bite of the Chettinad Chicken, my emotional state was transported to. . . I don't even know where -maybe in the crisp air of the Himalayas somewhere. I've never been, but for some reason, now I think I need to go.
The spices were a symphony; subtle, calibrated perfection. Nothing was off, nothing was exaggerated. I think it was the best I've ever enjoyed.
When I entered, the owner greeted me efficiently at the door with a menu. Crisp, efficient. No wait and dance with a slovenly dressed and annoyed failed barista to be seated.
The menu is tight. Not too many dishes to choose from, so I was able to make a choice quickly and the same owner took my order , cooked and prepared my plates and had it on my table in maybe four minutes.
From entering the place to mouth happiness in five minutes - brilliant!
I'll be back.

The Best Indian food around! My family is obsessed. Really nice staff, family owned business. The atmosphere is nice & clean, just wish it felt a little “cozier”… that’s just personal preference though.
I recommend starting with the Thali for 2, to try a variety of dishes. 10 out of 10!

Great meal, fun atmosphere! We wanted to try everything but ended up with an assortment of sides and snacks, no regrets. The kabocha squash, cauliflower, daal, and lamb skewers were fantastic, and I heartily recommend the tamarind margarita. Will definitely be back!

We received excellent service. I appreciated that all the dishes were explained. My favorites were Tomato and Eggplant, and Kohlrabi and Collards. I can't include a picture because the food was gone before that occurred to me.

I had the most amazing dinner here for the first night of the inaugural Indian Food Week! The chef/owner Deepak welcomed us into the space, explained the food, answered our questions, and took such good care of us. Everything we ate was amazing, so well-spiced and unique. My faves from the night were the dum aloo (braised potatoes), Kashmiri tomato and eggplant, and the mango kulfi with pistachios. I’m already planning my return trip and telling my friends about this place so they can visit too. I can’t believe how many times I’ve walked past this gem and missed out on a delicious meal. Do yourself a favor and check them out, you won’t regret it.

I've been eating Indian food for decades but Bhuna blew me away. So many places are same old-same old, but I have never tasted anything like this. The naan, typically just an obligation, was particularly tasty, made to order and just the right mix of flavors.

We just dined at Bhuna for the first time and had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious and flavorful and fresh but the service sold us. We sat at the bar and enjoyed a great conversation with Deepak, the owner. If we weren’t out of towners he would have made some new regulars out of us. I ordered the Pork Skewer during happy hour and it was tender and rich and so well balanced with its accompaniments. The curry bowl was beautiful and very filling. The meat portions were generous. If you’re in PDX and haven’t visited before, take a chance on this place. You’ll be pleasantly surprised.

Dang this place was so good! Love the twists they do on all their incredible dishes. Food looked so good we immediately dig in and didn't take photos of their beautiful plates. Cocktails are top notch too! Can't wait to come back.

We are new in the area and went there for the first time.
Atmosphere: lovely place, both from inside and the outside location. Nice interior, comfortable seating and easy to have conversation.
Service: The staff was very friendly and checked on us and answered the questions in a warm welcoming way.
Food: Many things to say about food.
1. We are vegetarians and the options are not bad. Not too many, but just enough.
2. The menu is not your typical Indian restaurant menu. The offerings are few but new, creative and still Indian tasting at heart. It was a great feeling to try something new and yet knowing you are getting something familiar.
3. We tried items across the whole menu. Snacks, sides, sliders, main entree, drinks and dessert. In terms of taste and presentation, everything was 4 or 5 out of 5. Only item that was a 3/5 was slider- it was a little bland and could use more flavor like tamarind sauce or something. Rest everything tasted really fresh, kinda new to the taste buds and delicious.
4. Special mention: really loved mango and coconut lassi. It's such a new flavor and very tasty.
Portion size: The only thing which was unusual, was the portion size. It was not ridiculously small size, no. But it wasn't your usual portion size that one may be used to at other restaurants for the same price in general. Every item, like drink, naan, main entree bowl etc, they all seemed fashionably portioned. Not bad, but not generous by any means.
All in all we loved this place and will definitely come back.

The thali dinner for two was amazing—great variety of flavorful dishes, and the garlic naan was spot on. Thanks for having us!
