Really great experience at this restaurant. Food is fantastic and unique. The flavor profile is different than most Indian restaurants. We had Veg Pakora platter, Chicken Skewers and Veg Thali for 2, for drinks we tried the Paloma, Kashmiri Tea and Mango Coconut Lassi. Everything was cooked to perfection, and each dish had its own flavor. Chef/owner was very engaging and attentive to our needs during the meal. Highly highly recommend.

Loved the Kashmiri food. Simple and without using too much spices and onion/garlic. This is what real home made Indian food tastes like! Do try the mango kulfi too. Me, my mom and wife, all appreciated the food.

**vegetarian review** I have heard so much about this place from many people and finally got to try it. The place has a chill laid back vibe. The owner is friendly and funny! I got the mushroom naan, fried potatoes, lotus roots, aloo dum and regular naan. The naan was so soft and nice!!! I loved the mushroom naan. I left it had little bit peppercorn oil which I love. Quick service and would come back

Bhuna has been on our list of Pdx restaurants to try for a long time and we finally made it there for lunch. I’m sad we didn’t make it there sooner because it’s incredibly delicious. Wonderful Indian food and we can’t wait to get back and try more menu items (definitely want to try their Thali). Our first small sampling was worthy of a review so we are eager to get back for more soon!

Shared the Thali for two and everything was fantastic. Super complex flavors and more than enough for two. Maggie was a great server. Will certainly be back!

Really authentic regional Indian cuisine prepared with obvious care. This was some of the best Indian food I've had in Portland over the last 21 years since moving here. I'll definitely come here again.

Got a new favorite Indian restaurant! The usual favorites are here with rich and complex flavors = chana masala was yummy. And then different combinations like the mushroom naan, absolutely delicious, satisfying and fun. The vegetarian dishes would certainly make a carnivore happy too. Atmosphere is casual, comfortable and inviting and the service is great. And the cocktails were flavorful with great hints of heat. Definitely will be back!

I'm an Indian food fanatic, so when I heard Bhuna had plenty of gluten-free and vegetarian options, I knew I had to drag my friend (she's gluten-free, vegetarian, AND soy-free!) along. We were both blown away! We kicked things off with Seasonal Vegetable Pakoras and Fried Potatoes, perfect for dipping and sharing. Both were crispy, flavorful, and a great way to start the feast. I ordered a Happy Hour Paloma which was also done well. For myself: Pork Vindaloo and the Happy Hour chicken slider. The Vindaloo was fantastic, but while I was fine with the slider, I wouldn't bother getting it again. As always at an Indian restaurant, I indulged in fluffy naan. I tend to judge if I like an Indian restaurant or not by the naan. Bhuna exceeded expectations! The food was delicious and authentic, and the gluten-free and vegetarian options were plentiful and impressive. My friend, usually limited in restaurant choices, raved about it too. We can't wait to return and explore more of their menu!

the alcohol choices are superb, the food is as good (be honest, better) than you could get from home (if you believe you cook this food at home).you have no reason not to try this.Vegetarian options: the sides are all excellent

So so tasty. And incredibly affordable. Love love love. I don’t do so great with spicy food and at this place I can stuff myself happily. Get the family meal!

Great food! Service was friendly and prompt. Lassi drink was a bit rich but food was yummy!

Grateful for small portions since food was surprisingly unappetising. Lotus root fries were over salted and so thin we just tasted salt. We ordered two different dishes, eggplant and lamb, and they both had the same taste, which was essentially one spice overpowering the whole dish. I think the spice was mace, the spice not the defensive spray, although I can't be sure of either. We like spicy food, but usually expect some nuance. We healed our palate with some delish ice cream from Salt and Straw. If you go, know that a remedy is nearby.

We wandered into this restaurant on a whim, and we were so pleasantly surprised! I'm a very picky eater, but Maggie took such great care of our group and made great recommendations. She even customized a cocktail for me. I have never had Indian food before but I liked everything I tried!!!! The brussel sprouts, pakoras, and chicken skewers were my favorites!!! The place is cute and clean, and they played great music. It was a fun and chill atmosphere. Happy hour deals were good, and overall pricing was reasonable. I'll definitely be back!

Good food. Excellent service. Interesting cocktails. The basmati rice is the most flavorful and complex that I’ve had in the Portland area. Good vegetarian options.
