I followed this place on instagram awhile now and finally decided to stop in and get a plate. Prices are fair, pupusa are loaded with food and flavor. Place is very clean, staff was friendly. Definitely will be back if the area again. Street parking only can be difficult.

This is the best Mexican spot in Portland. 10/10. The Papusas and Chile Relleno Burrito ARE OUT OF THIS WORLD.

Las pupusas revueltas are spot on—perfect with the curtido and salsa. But the rest of the Salvadoran menu feels a bit lost in translation (that horchata definitely wasn’t the real deal).

I drive 45+ minutes to come to Bichos because I love it so much. I am obsessed with the chile relleno burrito (add carnitas) and get it every time. My husband and I usually get other items to try something new everytime and we have not been disappointed. Staff is very friendly, service is quick and the restaurant is very clean. Love you guys, see you again soon! 💕

I got the shrimp tacos and chips and salsa. The tacos were very good. Flavor was decent. The salsa was ok. I prefer a hotter salsa and this was very mild and a little sweeter but still tasty.

Such a great find! Super friendly staff - smidge expensive but great selection and variety whether you’re looking for your run-of-the-mill nachos all the way to flavorful authentic papusas. Definitely worth a visit

Food was really amazing. I went for breakfast and had their amazing breakfast burritos, and then went another day in the evening and had their pupusas'. The dinner was really fabulous with some of the best pupusas' I have ever had and paired with a delicious margarita. Service and food was top tier, couldn't reccomend more.

Bicho’s is a gem on Mississippi w/ amazing food, great vibes, and kind staff. The menu is huge and full of options, and everything looks so good that it’s hard to decide what to order. I feel like you can’t really go wrong. You can tell that the staff is hardworking and makes every dish feel cared for. There is seating inside or outside on the patio, which offers just enough of Mississippi’s buzz without being distracting. The food comes out quickly, hot, and beautifully presented, even down to the plates. The flavors are thoughtful and unique, clearly crafted by people who know what they’re doing and care about the details. Every bite is satisfying in a way that makes you want to keep eating, even when you’re full. The generous portion sizes make the trip even more worthwhile. It’s the kind of meal you keep thinking about long after you leave. I’ve been craving it ever since. Literally ate a Bicho’s quesadilla in my dreams.
