Stopped by for a couple of tacos with a buddy and it was well worth it. The cashier was very polite, the service was great, and the tacos were delicious and worth the price. You can get a couple of tacos and a soda for less than $10 including the tip. It's located in a parking lot with plenty of space, and has a nice wheelchair accessible, covered dining area with a few benches.

Gotta get the consommé 😋 smaller burritos than your average shop but I like it because they’re actually finishable. Always so delicious and fast service!

the lady was very rude and got my order wrong and when I asked for extra sauce she gave me a regular amount. Seemed like she wanted me gone, never eating here again

Food is pretty tasty when the onions aren't old. That happens sometimes. The food is small for the price. A burrito is, like, half a burrito. They send like 1 salsa for 2 complete orders. If you buy the extra 3 dollar salsa, they sometimes just put an extra salsa in there. But! When they do it right, despite the tiny portions, the food is very good.

I highly recommend to not order from them if you’re ordering online. Somebody stole my order before the Dasher could get to it, and the restaurant refused to remake it, and they canceled my order.
Lady was rude. Food was gross. Not even what I ordered. Waste of $50.00

Birrieria PDX Madison is easily one of the best spots in Portland for anyone who loves bold, authentic Mexican flavors. My experience here was outstanding from beginning to end, and this place has definitely earned a permanent spot on my list of favorites.
The moment I arrived, I was impressed by how welcoming and friendly the staff were. They greeted me with genuine smiles, helped me choose the best dishes on the menu, and made the entire visit feel comfortable and enjoyable. The service here is fast, attentive, and full of positive energy.
The food is the true star of the show. Everything I tried was packed with flavor, cooked perfectly, and clearly made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Of course, I had to order their famous birria—and it exceeded every expectation. The meat was incredibly tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. The consommé was rich, flavorful, and absolutely addictive. Their birria tacos were crispy on the outside, filled generously, and tasted amazing when dipped in the broth.
I also loved their quesadillas and ramen birria—both were unique, delicious, and full of that signature birria goodness. Every bite had that deep, slow-cooked flavor that makes you crave more. Portions were generous, and the presentation was beautiful.
The atmosphere at Birrieria PDX Madison is vibrant and comfortable, making it a great place for lunch, dinner, or a quick stop whenever you’re craving something truly satisfying. You can feel the passion and pride in every dish they serve.
Overall, Birrieria PDX Madison is a must-visit for anyone who loves authentic Mexican cuisine. Amazing food, excellent service, and unforgettable flavors—this place has it all. I will definitely be coming back again and recommending it to everyone I know!

Tip for those complaining about the price: if you order thru DoorDash or the like, you pay $3.58 per taco, because DoorDash is a terrible leech of a company that charges businesses exorbitant fees *per order,* and for small biz who can't eat the cost, those fees get passed onto the consumer. If you order in-person, it's $2.75 for the same taco. Going into 2026, I think that's a good price. Have yet to find better in the Portland metro area.

Wow. This place is good!! I’ve been to tons of food carts and plenty of Mexican style ones. I have to say this place’s food is AMAZING. I highly recommend it and recommend the quesabirria and consume. Soooo delicious. Price is avg. bonus that they have places to park.
