Met some friends for dinner here. I ordered beef gyro. I thought it would be real slices of beef but was ground beef formed into spiced patties. Probably my own fault, hadn't had a gyro since I lived in San Jose Ca.

Disappointing Experience with Online Pickup

I was about to place an online order for a falafel sandwich for pickup, and while the $14 price tag was already quite steep for falafel (not beef or chicken!), I was willing to overlook it. However, upon checkout, I was prompted to add a tip.

I simply cannot understand why a tip is expected for an online pickup order where no service is provided. This practice is truly a shame for a business. Paying $14, plus an additional $3-5 for a tip on a pickup sandwich, is just unreasonable. This business needs a reality check.

So I walked in to order takeout which they said would take 15min. That sounded fine so I went elsewhere to do some shopping while they got my order cooked. When I returned they informed me they forgot my order and it would take another 15min. No problem I’ll wait.

When I got the order I immediately took it home to eat it. I live 3 minutes away and when I got inside food was cold except the soup. That was weird because i was there when they finished making it. I bit into my chicken gyro and it basically just tasted like pickles. The chicken was cold, and not grilled but looked like a crockpot situation. It was flavorless and I guess they just pull it out of the pot and slap in onto a pita with pickles, lettuce and tomato. It wasn’t pricy so that fine. Soup was good.

This used to be my favorite Mediterranean spot, but not anymore. The fries were soggy and bland, the pita bread is store bought and smelled like perfume, it doesn’t taste authentic and is low quality.

Below average food quality and poor service, waited an hour for an order that placed by phone before arrival, poor management and service to handle orders properly. And at the end of the they missing items on the order and wrong items. Specially if you are looking for lamb shank feel free to skip this place ad it will be dry and very small piece without any juice. Any restaurant in the city would serve the food better. No reception in place so if you are dining in consider being isolated for the time.
