We came in on a thursday evening at 830pm. A white couple was in front of us in line. The hostess asked if they had reservations, they said no. She seated them. Asked us if we had reservations, we said no. She stated she did not have a table for us because it was reservations and they closed at 9pm.

We came in on a thursday evening at 830pm. A white couple was in front of us in line. The hostess asked if they had reservations, they said no. She seated them. Asked us if we had reservations, we said no. She stated she did not have a table for us because it was reservations and they closed at 9pm. I stated that was discriminatory. As I am a man of Hawaiian & Chinese ancestry. The hostess went and talked with an asian lady. She came back & said it will be a few minutes. I looked at the sign for the hours, Thursday they close at 10pm. No were does it say they are reservations only. Its recommended but not required. When we were seated I noticed their was several tables available in the restaurant open, cleaned and ready to be seated. I would like an explanation, I did not get any apology from any staff for this discriminatory treatment.

Talk about delicious sushi! One of my first meals out after Covid restrictions and I’m so glad I went. Such lovely friendly servers and staff.

The staff is friendly & eager to answer questions about the cuisine. They have a large selection of very fresh seafood, & the sashimi presentation borders on the theatrical. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Gold memories, I love & miss Portland and this place in particular.

The whole restaurant feel is different. Everyone is seated at the bar but it is first come first served. They have a interesting take on sushi. The Rice is amazing! The only thing they can improve is have more options on the menu

This place offers dine in after 4:00pm. The food is HORRIBLE , the service is HORRIBLE. The soy sauce had a fly in it and it took him 15min to bring us some fresh sauce. We went in for happy hour and told them we were there for happy hour. He didn't mention that they don't have happy hour and the rolls we ordered off of the SMALL PORTION menu were not available so we ended up with huge rolls that were covered in a sour spicy mayo. It tasted rotten. $51 later we will never eat here again and would recommend finding somewhere else to dine. I haven't been this disappointed in a LONG TIME when it comes to dining out. And this is during COVID! Horrible. Absolutely AWFUL.

We have been here many times before but something has definitely changed. We had 2 young kids with us and to wait an hour fir food is crazy. We even had to ask them after 45 minutes to bring the edamame and miso soup, which should have taken 5 minutes. Staff never even came back to check on us even when our large beers were gone. Miso soup was overly salty and had 5 pea sized pieces of tofu. Other food, when it arrived, was good. But only half the order showed up so we had to cancel and leave. It took 15 minute to get a corrected bill. When you have kids that are fussy, not a good night.
