Freshest ideas for sushi rolls and best Nigiri in the city! Thank you for a great evening.

Incredible value here -- good presentation, unmatched happy hour, fresh fish, and all for about the same price as your average neighborhood place. Don't skip the toro!

Bellingham Wa isn't known for its sushi restaurants and frankly most dining venues. I've been to this sushi restaurant before and always thought they were fairly good as Bellingham goes. I went last night there for the first time in a couple of years just to see how it was. I didn't come with high expectations, but I have to say, given the sad state of affairs in the restaurant industry these days....big prices....poorer quality ingredients....untrained wait staff......that was NOT what I got. My dinner and the service at Bluefin Tuna and Sushi blew me away last night. The waitstaff were polite, responsive and worked as a team and the sushi was killer. I started with a seaweed/cumber/shrimp salad....it was light, flavorful and refreshing. Next I tried the maguro and toro nigiri. Both were prepared elegantly, and melted in my mouth. Their scallop hotate was lightly sweet and creamy as you would expect and the roll I had to finish was beautifully done but too much for me to eat all there. I was very happy at the end. The bill was less than 100 the food was perfect and the service was great. Considering the poor dining, snarky waitstaff and expensive, pretentious prices in Bellingham, this place is a 5 star easy. Highly recommended especially on a Monday night. Nice job staff and owners! I don't usually compliment.

Attention to detail with the food is really fantastic. This may be the best sushi in Portland. The slices of raw fish are on the thin side but the selection they have of different parts of the fish and the freshness of everything is hard to beat. If you get one of the elaborate boxes like the Royal box C or B you are in for a treat.
The karage are small drumsticks which is not my favorite but they are not dry. They are nice and crunchy. The choice to serve them with a kind of mustard sauce is odd but okay.
I don't know whether entrance to the restaurant needs a vestibule to be cozy but it is kind of cold in there and they have boxes sitting around near the bar and it has kind of an austere modern aesthetic. The people who are servers there are kind and knowledgeable but not necessarily easy to get the attention of.

Sushi was good, great presentation.
More pricey than the usual sushi restaurants I go to.
Waitress was cold at first, like we weren’t their usual customers, but she warmed up.
This restaurant shares the restroom with the restaurant next door and a restaurant can look as nice as can be, but if the restroom looks Iike a gas station restroom, it speaks of a lack of care.
The seats are wood, no cushions seats.

We came here during happy hour last week and it was an amazing experience! The food and ambiance were incredible. We ordered drinks, appetizers, and one of the speciality roles for a reasonable price. The servers are super kind and helpful. Would highly recommend for Happy Hour!!

We were greeted like three times while walking in, the waitstaff so super friendly and knowledgeable. our server gave us the rundown of their specials which included sea bream and hokkaido uni. we ended up trying those and it was bomb. since it was happy hour, we got their house sake as well. they also had real wasabi which took me out but was worth it. 10/10 recommend

Hands down the best!! I always get board c because the sushi to price ratio is literally unmatched in this city. It’s carefully and creatively curated and is the perfect amount of food! It’s a pleasure to see Hana, the owner working side by side with her crew. You would be a silly goose to not eat here!!!
