Service was great, not a long wait. Fish sauce tips were absolutely amazing, dream of them! Burger was also delicious and cooked nicely. Sat at one of the fire pit tables, nice and cozy!

Burgers are fine. They are also the beer cart for this food pod. Idk if they’re just trying to do the Portland cool thing but the staff is rude af. It makes you just wanna say, “you know what, I’m good” right in the middle of ordering

Update: returned many months later for a beer while I waited to pick up food from another cart - mind you, I did not order any food at Bottle Rocket, I simply asked a question about the burgers I saw cooking on the grill and got back way too much attitude (and a little defensiveness?)… I truly don’t know what their issue is but based off many other reviewer’s experiences this is just how they do business.

My family ordered 1 bacon burger, 1 cheese burger and a grilled cheese with 1 lemonade, this came out to be $36. Now looking at the photos, I figured it would be worth cost...boy oh boy I wish we took a photo. The portion sizes are WILD for the price they are charging, once you order your food from here, DO NOT look around at what the others got from various vendors in the cartopia... it'll be hard during your 40 minute wait....Pretty bummed to be honest, nothing special about the burger, grilled cheese was just oily cheddar cheese for $6. I gave it 2 stars cause it's a cool place to eat amongst all the other carts but yeah wont be going back. It just felt like they did the ol' gotcha...a great president once said "There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again."

The service is extremely bad. I've been a few times because the food is undeniably delicious and every time the staff is snappy or down right rude. This time my husband orderd me a beer, and then attempted to order himself one. I have a toddler and a dog, so I was manning the table while he ordered. They explained that they can't give him 2 drinks, it's illegal. So he returned with the 1 beer, we switched table manning duty, and I went to order his beer on his behalf. Odd rule, but no issues here. As I ordered my husband's beer in his behalf, the cashier immediately got furious at me for saying "for my husband" yelling back "Can you just lie and say this is for you so I can do this legally?!" .... since my husband had already explained the drink he bought first was for me, I was genuinely shocked and confused as to why he would need me to lie? There was nothing to lie about, we are 2 people, we bought 2 drinks, we both drank 1 drink. I had just been yelled at for quite literally no reason, so I just said yes and took the drink and left. Why snap at people who arent in any way being rude to you? Reading the other reviews, as well as my own experience with this shop, makes it clear this is unfortunately a pattern of behavior by this staff member.

My genuine advice for anyone who wants to eat here-- yell your order coldly with no emotion, pay, and leave. This is not the place for a kind human interaction, this is a place for delicious tater tots and that is it.

Yes, the sprouts are spendy but I genuinely seek this place out for those tasty treats!!

I was also greeted as soon as I walked up, was given space to take my time and look at the menu, and the cashier Bets offered to get our drinks ready while we decided what to order.

Atmosphere was bustling and busy, but I definitely felt taken care of even when the heat has been a scorcher lately.

This cart reminds me a lot of Portland 10 years ago and it made me smile to enjoy my favorite snacks at the best pod in town.

The service here was appalling. The food may be good, but why pay for terrible service and workers who you're essentially paying to be rude to you. I work in food service so I understand it can be stressful at times, but there is no need to take that out on paying customers. When we asked about what was on tap, the man behind the counter was extremely rude and shouted at us "I CAN'T HEAR YOU!" I've been in this situation of not being able to hear customers but I've never screamed at someone about it before. We were just asking a question, not being rude as this was my first time here (and last). When we were waiting for our food, they were talking about us! All we asked was what beers were on tap and if we could have a burger well done and the guy acted like we ruined his day and rolled his eyes. DO NOT tip the employees if you come here because they are rude. If you signed up to be a food service worker, you need to be able to answer simple questions and give basic kindness to customers who have reasonable requests and questions. They're just adding to the trashiness of Portland. Do better!

Update: we got our burgers and the patties are an inch in diameter. We overpaid for food that was mediocre at best and for terrible service. We even tried to ask if we did something to upset them because they were so unnecessarily rude to us and the guy just smirked and said no. Bottle Rocket we want a refund and I hope disciplinary action is taken for terrible service! It’s one thing to for some reason dislike customers, but to purposefully give us small portions when we are the ones who paid is just awful.

Terrible service. Food was just okay... but the patty was about an inch and a half in diameter?? They were rude for absolutely no reason. The frequency of reviews like this tell me that it's not just a rough day, they're just rude people. I won't becoming back.

I like the food truck pod as a whole, but my food at Bottle Rocket was disappointing. It wasn’t very busy, but I waited 30 minutes for a burger with a side of brussel sprouts. The burger was very good. The brussel sprouts were awful. They were just charred pieces. Tasted terrible and were falling apart since they were so burnt. Literally just brown crisps with burnt flavor and nothing else. Not what I wanted. Especially for the price. Brussel sprouts alone were $7.

As someone who works food service, I understand the frustrations that customers bring, however, I was met with a hostile attitude as soon as I stepped up to the register to order. Raising your voice at a customer is not okay. I was ordering food and did not realize that the combo came with lemonade… turned me off for the meal. And after sitting down I wish I would have turned around and gotten food elsewhere.

The food was good but the attitude of the employee was so aggressive it turned me off. I won’t be back and would not recommend
