Used to love Boxcar, but unfortunately they've now installed a kiosk where you have to ring up your own food. I am not employed here, I should not need to operate the register. Want to ask questions before ordering? Too bad. No employee ever speaks to you. Also, giving them your cell phone number is "not optional." My contact info should not be required for me to be served, and it should be OK not to carry a cellphone at all times. If you loathe human contact, this place is great. If you want customer service, go elsewhere. So sad, they used to be friendly.

Delicious pizza with a wide selection of toppings. I'm a big guy and the pizza was almost two meals for me; definitely a great sharing size if you go with others.

Honestly some of the best pizza I have ever had. I really like the thick Detroit style with the slightly crunchy cheese at the edges. And the sauce was great as well. I had the cheese burger pizza, and it had just the right amount of heat.

The pizza here is hands-down the best pizza I have ever had and has set a new bar. My girlfriend and I were on vacation in the Portland area for a week and this pizza was so good that we ordered a 2nd time and had it delivered to our airport hotel room on the way out of town. We also ordered the buffalo wings and kale salad which were also very delicious.There were many vegan restaurants to visit in Portland and I'm very glad I got to try Boxcar since it was the best restaurant I tried while visiting.

I got the '4 minute mile' pizza and it was way way too salty. Olives are one of my favorite foods and these ones were unlike anything Ive ever had; it was like they were brined in extra salty salt and had like a salt shell around them. They were hard. It was very strange. Not to mention the rest of the pizza was also overly salty. I was unable to finish the pizza. A lot of people seem to like this place though so maybe I got a weird batch? Personally Im going to stick with Virtuous Pie.

10/10 I loved this place. Food was perfect, loved the Brooklyn style pizza. Service was great they were quick to make the order and even door dash to the airport the food came hot! The 8x10 is a good share size. Me and wife both ate two large square slices. If you're hungry you won't be if you get one to your self. I am definitely coming back here! It's a bummer I am only visiting I would be here all the time!

So I will definitely go here again for pizza. It was delicious! I placed an order online for pickup and it was ready in less than 30 minutes. The restaurant was cute inside - per my husband because I didn't actually go in. For starters this restaurant is 100% plant based and they offer gluten free dough for *some pizzas. There are some really fun options on their menu and I did struggle a little to make a decision but I couldn't stop going back to the Viktor Vaughn pizza. It's made with pesto, kale, red onion, ricotta and peppers. Flavor was 10/10 and the pizza dough/crust was incredible. My husband ordered the Cheeseburger pizza made with beef, onion, pickles and burger sauce. This one looked absolutely delicious and I was so jealous I was too focused on my own pizza to try some of his. I think the pizzas are shareable with one other person depending on how hungry you are. I was only able to eat 2 out of 4 squares and saved the other half for lunch the next day. A quick pop in the air fryer and it's almost as good as it was fresh! We also ordered the Cheesy Garlic Bread and Mozzarella Sticks for starters. I enjoyed both of these with marinara sauce. I am excited to go back and try more pizzas! I already have my mind set on the Map Change pizza which has buffalo fried chicken and bleu cheese..... again ALL PLANT BASED! Whether you're looking for a new pizza place to try or looking for a plant based restaurant for yourself or someone else, definitely give Boxcar a try!

Two words: VIKTOR VAUGHN. Order it. Eat it. It’ll change your life.Oh, and the gluten free dough is barely discernible from the regular dough! This place is a miracle.Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free dough that’s bomb and, of course, everything is dairy-free. If you have celiac, I am not sure about cross-contamination so please do ask.

First time trying this pizza, loved, loved, loved the crust, so fluffy but crisp, my only complaint is it was really salty, like overwhelming, other than that the pizza is delicious.
