This was the last restaurant I went to before the quarantine. I'm glad it was, because it was great. I grew up in Hawaii and their ramen is equal to what I remember.
Such deep flavor and great service. Only 2 mains on the menu which makes it easy to choose: spicy or not spicy. It's amazing
Boxer is, in my opinion, the best place in Portland to get ramen. I've been to their Burnside location & their downtown location and I've never ever been disappointed. Not only is the food good but their shops are very aesthetically pleasing and their staff is always super nice and friendly. I'm pretty sure I eat here at least once a week. This place definitely gets overshadowed by Marukin but Boxer's ramen has *so much more* going on and their serving portions are a lot bigger for only $3 more than what you would get at Marukin. If you're wondering if you should try this place or not, do it. Every time I come and sit at the bar it warms my Naruto-loving heart.
Noodles were amazing. Service was great. Only negative was parking
Boxer Ramen is an incredible hipster ramen bar which is actually close to Japanese traditional flavors in some dishes but contemporary and far out there for other dishes. It's combination of American and Japanese cooking that is a taste sensation. There are plenty of vegetarian and vegan options as well as meaty stuff.
It was really nice going to a really nice place that wasn’t over crowded. The food was so good!
When the weather is chilly with intermittent rain go for the ramen. It will warm you up and leave you smiling. I always come when I’m in town.
Great service and fast. We went during a slow hour which is why I think we got in and out. The broth was amazing and the noodles and meat were good quality. I will definitely be going back.
My ramen was especially good, the pork belly was a nice touch
Tonkotsu and Tots. On a cool day and not feeling 100%, just what the doctor ordered!

Really flavorful ramen, and it will definitely fill you up! Had the Red Miso Ramen and, fair warning, it is quite spicy. Didn't stop me from demolishing the whole bowl, however. The interior is super cute, and it happened to be raining with the big front window open on a late April afternoon, which only added to the whimsical atmosphere of the place.
This place really surprised me! Food was great! Neat atmosphere too!
Much needed on this cold February evening!
