Boxer is, in my opinion, the best place in Portland to get ramen. I've been to their Burnside location & their downtown location and I've never ever been disappointed. Not only is the food good but their shops are very aesthetically pleasing and their staff is always super nice and friendly. I'm pretty sure I eat here at least once a week. This place definitely gets overshadowed by Marukin but Boxer's ramen has *so much more* going on and their serving...
Boxer Ramen is an incredible hipster ramen bar which is actually close to Japanese traditional flavors in some dishes but contemporary and far out there for other dishes. It's combination of American and Japanese cooking that is a taste sensation. There are plenty of vegetarian and vegan options as well as meaty stuff.
Great service and fast. We went during a slow hour which is why I think we got in and out. The broth was amazing and the noodles and meat were good quality. I will definitely be going back.
