Fantastic high quality breakfast sandwiches, empanadas and other great pastries all made in house! The only thing I could mention is the price is a touch expensive but the quality is top top notch! Mo is super great as well!

I love bread! And honey!
I was so excited when I saw this little café named bread and honey .
There was no fresh bread on the menu nor any honey options !
I went to the counter. It’s counter service. You have to wait for your order and you have to pick up your own order and get your own utensils, etc..
I ordered the biscuits and gravy and milk with the 20% tip. It was over $20.
It was two biscuits and a small glass of milk and the only options for tipping were 20, 25 and 30%

There was no line I walked up to the counter no smile no hello no friendliness whatsoever. I place my order for biscuits and gravy and she said you can stand over there and I’ll put it on the counter when it’s ready . I watched her get two cold biscuits out of the refrigerator that were wrapped in cellophane and put them in a microwave. Then she poured my milk and put it on the counter in a holding spot as I stood there and waited. I got the whole order of biscuits and gravy, so it was too small very flat biscuits. After they came out of the microwave, she separated them and put them on a Panini grill. They were in there for a couple of minutes or so, and then she proceeded to spoon on gravy, from a warmer, but what it was more like a soup with very very little sausage on it. She placed it on the counter and slid over to the counter. I picked it up and my glass of milk, got the utensils and napkin and then went to my table . I sat down to eat, the soupy gravy wasn’t that warm and I had a difficult time eating biscuits (dry) and gravy with a fork. I ended up getting more of it in my lap because it would just fall through the fork. It was very very very thin like soup. The biscuits shattered as you put the fork through them crumbling into lots of small pieces.

I don’t normally salt my food before I taste it, but I do put pepper on my gravy without tasting it cause I like pepper and there was no hot sauce options I asked for hot sauce and they didn’t have any . Which is fine. I don’t always put Tabasco or hot sauce on my gravy, but this gravy was as bland is bland can be. I ended up putting salt on it and then I had to put more salt on it and more salt the biscuits had no flavor. There was no salt in the biscuits. I’m pretty sensitive to salt And I don’t ever typically salt any of my food, but this was absolutely the worst biscuits and gravy I’ve ever had.
It was sad. I was really sad. I was really excited to see the name of the restaurant bread and honey.
It made me think of times when my grandma would make homemade bread coming out of the oven and drizzling honey on it I mean, that’s kind of what I was expecting. There was no ovens in here. The bread wasn’t fresh. Everything was microwaved and had a Panini grill.
I used to have a catering business that we specialize in concession stands and we got our country sausage gravy out of a can, we did. This wasn’t even half the quality of the canned gravy we used to serve.
Highly highly disappointed will never come back . And not a friendly atmosphere. The only reason for one stars is because it doesn’t give me the option to give zero stars or minus stars.
The place is cute. It’s got a great vibe.
Staff wasn’t happy and it wasn’t super early. It was 10 o’clock and it wasn’t busy no reason for the unpleasantness. I hope the owner reads this and maybe changes things up!!!!!
Great concept ! Terrible, terrible terrible execution!

Portland is filled with countless great coffee shop and this one is my favorite! Everything from the food, drinks, customer service, cleanliness, etc always perfect. I just appreciate the staff always being so kind and helpful. One time I recall someone in a wheelchair eating alone and a staff member came by to kindly check in on them. Then on my birthday, the staff member that I haven’t seen before, made it special. It just shows how great this place truly is.

me and my mom come here all the time. literally our favorite spot for breakfast. it's great because it's not just the rack of pastries that most cafes offer, they have real food that's not priced ridiculously. the people working here are so sweet and seem like they enjoy being there. the music is curated also, overall great vibes.

Vegetarian options: tons of options

Dietary restrictions: they offer alternative milks and such, but i'm not sure if i would come here if you have a massive gluten alergy

Kid-friendliness: in no way is this place not kid friendly

I had the chicken pot pie, coffee, and a cookie. All was very good, but the cookie was a standout. Super nice staff too!

Delightful folks and delicious quiche and lemon tart.

Vegetarian options: Seemed easy enough to ask for adjustments to menu items not pre-made, but definitely had several great sounding veggie options in addition to the mini quiche I got.

This has to be one of the best atmospheres I've ever seen in restaurants. Very homey and welcoming. Music is not blasting, workers were nice. I got the biscuits and gravy, was pretty decent and I personally like more protein so having eggs or more sausage would be great. But let me tell you, my friend shared some of his pesto sandwich with me and it was THE ABSOLUTE BOMB! If I were to go again and were to recommend a dish, I would recommend the pest sandwich

Get the pesto sandwich.

I am happy with the selection & staff here. :D
I wish there was more seating, and that prices were just a bit lower. All in all though, a good place.
