Bread and Ink Cafe Reviews
we went there mid morning today w/ some out of town family. The service was horrid, young man taking orders at a register was not helpful, nor was he pleasant. We had to get all our own silverware, water and when our food was ready, go and pick it up as well. Then once finished, we had to bus our own table.
For $21 dollars: 1 plain bagel, 2 onion round slices, 4 cucumbers rounds and 4 small pieces of locks. not worth it at all.
customer service has gone way down hill...read full review
I have waited for almost an hour now, everyone in restaurant has got their food a while ago, they brought out one dish that was cold. No apologies, and now we have no idea when our food is coming. This place sucks hard right now, hope they get their act together. No customer service skills whatsoever. This place used to be an institution.
Pros- husbands eggs Benedict was delicious, and he was pleased. I even liked it and I don't care for runny yolk. The polenta cake was thoughtfully seasoned.
Their cinnamon roll was quite tasty, nice and warm, great flavors, and a tad doughy which my husband and I both appreciate in a cinnamon roll!
Cons- my waffle was stale and it was barely warm in the middle. The whipped cream was quite bland. The raspberry Coulee was tart and the cardamom maple syrup was delicious,...read full review

Bread and Ink Cafe has long been a popular spot for many, especially for special occasions like Mother's Day brunch. Recently, the dining experience has shifted to a more casual, self-service model where customers order at the register and bus their own tables. The friendly staff still makes small substitutions when requested, and the food quality remains consistent. Dishes like chicken and waffles continue to be favorites, while items such as biscuits and gravy are praised for their thicker gravy and delicious flavors. The atmosphere has become more stripped-down and informal, focusing more on the food than an elegant setting. Customers can enjoy the waffle window, which stays open to serve in a pinch. However, some find the wait times for orders to be long, and there is limited online information about hours or services, which can lead to confusion. Overall, Bread and Ink Cafe offers a straightforward experience that some enjoy for the food, though others may feel disappointed by the changes and lack of detailed information.
