I had the pleasure of observing the exceptional staff at Breakside Brewery, particularly Carter and Lisa, during my visit. Their attentive and compassionate approach to serving a gentleman with hearing impairments was truly remarkable. Carter and Lisa's ability to acknowledge and communicate effectively with him showcased their dedication to providing inclusive and exceptional service. Breakside service + amazing beer = INCREDIBLE

I love NW Breakside. It’s my ‘go to’ spot after a long shift; the nachos rock, the beer on tap slaps and Jordan is the best server around. Unfortunately, it closes real early at 9pm - even on weekends. Such a shame! Especially in the dreary months of Portland winter… wish they would consider staying open a little later. If you try to finish your beer or food (like till 9:14pm), one of the staff members, Jessie, will make a scene with her frustration and angst… on many occasions, without fail. Hoping NW Breakside could improve on these things - while still rocking the best beer in town ?

Food was great and loved that they had a dog menu! We bring our dog with us as often as we can and Breakside was very welcoming to her and brought her water. Very kind staff as well.

Good selection of beers. You might have to get drunk to enjoy their food so you don’t have to remember it and tell everyone it was good.

leaving 3 stars because the food is good, but the service is awful. we have been here multiple times on a weekend night, and the host was so off-putting and pretty much outright rude. was very apparent she had no interest helping us. but again, the food and and drinks are good. just don’t expect good, or any,

Breakside brewery by far one of THE best breweries in PDX and in my top 5 for the west coast. The fresh hop IPA was their best beer. The house breakside brewery ipa is pretty good. The black ipa was nice and definitely worth trying. Food here was also really great too. Whether it's your first time here or your 50th brewmasters here are always accommodating and know how to tailor recs to your taste. The vibe here is pretty chill and people around here were generally friendly too. I'm coming back here next time I visit PDX!

Service and food have gone way down, and prices have gone way up. $13 for a chicken sandwich that most closely resembles a bad Wendy's, then you pay $5 extra for the small portion of fries. I only mentioned the portion size of fries to the server, but had to mention it twice to get a little bit more dropped off. Bad experience with a spot I used to frequent.

We live around the corner and come here all the time. This is definitely our favorite spot in the neighborhood. The food and beer is generally good, but the service really makes this place stand out.Our food usually comes out within 10 minutes. They switched to an a la carte menu which is the only downside because the same meals are now slightly more expensive and we often forget things that used to be included, but when that happens the people working there will bring it out often in two minutes. It's also super dog friendly and if you want, they take a picture of your dog and post on social media.

Breakside is the small neighborhood brewery that's now a Portland institution. It's one of those breweries that people outside of Portland know about since they have won so many awards and medals for their beers, particularly their IPA. Their beer is clean and polished. Well-made, on a technical level. This is probably the best brewery located in the downtown area. The ambiance though, was a bit too clean and polished for me. It just felt kind of cold and sterile. We didn't have any of the food, but only because we weren't hungry. It looked great!

Solid brewery. Ample sitting with indoor and outdoor options. The outdoor option also had outside patio heaters. Great selection. Order through your phone with a QR code with the order coming promptly. Worth a try.

I wish I could say that my experience was anything better than a fast food restaurant. I don't like the QR code order and pay system. It takes the personal experience out of eating at a restaurant. Aside from dropping off my food, beer and water, and taking my dish away, no one came to check on my food to see if I was satisfied. Not even the person who took away my dish. I had better service from a donair shop that took a half an hour to get my food but had the owners ask me how was the quality, how was the taste, were you happy with it, what can we do better.. do something to earn my patronage.
