A really great low-key, inexpensive, and high-quality food cafe near Pioneer Square. Very good selection of sandwiches and salads. The food was very good. Self-service and lots of seating area.

Never order the grilled cheese - most bland sandwich I’ve ever had in Portland. Careful with the soup as well - they microwave it so hot that you will need to wait 30 minutes before you can try it. Also they do not have condiments- so prepare to have some boring food. Service was great with some friendly people

I eat here a couple times a week and Bridge city is my go to for catering brown bag lunches. Whole the food is always consistent, the staff really make the brand. The area can be a bit busy during the lunch hour but they out pace the neighboring stores in speed of food peep by a large margin.

the sandwiches are pretty expensive for how basic they are, but that free cookie does a lot to justify things for me :) the employees were so friendly and look so happy, it makes me happy too

This place is amazing. They literally just made my day so much better. Staff are friendly and quick, but ELLA goes above and beyond. Thanks for making my lunch break great. Cookies are fantastic and my favorite is the sour dough bread, and I don't even like sour dough bread lol.

This place is terrible now . Have been going here for over 20 years and I will never go back . Wrong order and bad service , and terrible quality . I’m bummed

The service was fast and quick. The sandwiches, chips, and cookies were all delicious. Totally recommend if you're looking for a quaint yet pretty sandwich place.

Walked there for a quick bite around 2:30 and it was closed. Website said it was open til 6. The voicemail says til 4. Either way, it should have been open but the lights were off and no employees were around.

I must say that I really loved the downtown and Lloyd Center locations. However, it's hard to love a sandwich when you can't add pickles or onions to it. For that matter, even some salami. The sandwich combinations are just as important as pizza ingredients. I will continue to support, however, we need the basic ingredients that make a great sandwich just that, a great sandwich. I'm always satisfied, but I think this location has an abbreviated menu or something. Hard to please a sandwich expert without onions. Just my take though

I got a Sellwood club. For my 11$, I got a basic cold club with turkey, ham, bacon, romaine lettuce, and tomato (no cheese). It was supposed to come with Dijon mayo vinaigrette, but it tasted and looked exactly like mayo. It was supposed to be served on homemade sourdough, but it tasted and felt like cheap, dry white bread from the supermarket. The staff was polite and the food came fast. The chocolate chip cookie that came with the sandwich was by far the highlight of the meal, one of the best I've had in awhile. Soft in the middle, crispy on the outside, tons of chocolate chunks and served slightly warm.

Best cookies! Snickerdoodles are my fave, hands down. I wish there was a location closer to me, I'd go more often. This is where you should go for cookies if you really want yummy treats.
