To be honest, there was not one thing 1 disliked about this place. Service was amazing... our server Molly was wonderful. The building was beautifully designed and warm feeling. I could have bought out the gift shop, and the lady who worked in there was very helpful and had real answers to our questions. We took a peaceful stroll around outside beforehand and were thrilled with all the natural gardens. Lovely place to visit, close to town and different from most places.
Nordic atmosphere. You can find the Ole Bolle sculpture right outside in the garden.
Amazing food and service.
Always has great food that you don’t have to feel guilty about. Atmosphere is just as amazing, especially if you sit outside on a nice day
Lovely atmosphere, great service, delicious masala chai latte, aebleskivers, and lefse w/ mushrooms and eggs. Would love to return and try more of the menu.
Gorgeous location! I was just in awe!! I also just love Nordic design; it’s so simple, clean lines, airy and bright! When you come, there may be a wait, but you can walk around the beautiful building and landscape…located in the Nordic cultural center. And Ole Bolle is here!!!
Food was so good! I’ve never had this type of breakfast and I very much enjoyed it! I got the Lost Eggs and it surprisingly had so much flavor. It had all sorts of textures and tastes…it was so fun to eat. I highly recommend getting it with both the mushrooms and the ham!! The toasts that come on the side are kind of dry, but the main entrees shined so much, it didn’t matter.
My son got the Ableskiver Danish pancakes and he loved it! They’re a little dense, but they were so fun to eat. My son was able to eat them with his hands and dipped them in the yummy sauces it came with, lemon curd and lingonberry jam
The Savory Lefse breakfast was a hit, as well! Their crepes were light and the eggs were cooked perfectly.
Overall, such a fun and unique experience! I highly recommend visiting; either for the food, the museum and landscape, or even better; all of the above!!
The food was better than I expected. I ordered the meatball dish, which came with a fresh salad, crispy potato pancakes, hearty bread, pickles, and four flavorful meatballs. I also added the mushroom topping for a few extra bucks—totally worth it. The portion size was generous, perfect for a satisfying brunch, and I left feeling full and happy.
The setting is charming, especially with the garden you can explore while waiting. It adds a nice touch to the experience. However, the wait was pretty brutal—I stood in line for nearly 50 minutes, which definitely tested my patience. The price is a bit on the higher side, but that’s expected for a spot in the city.
Overall, great food and atmosphere, but the long wait might not be for everyone. If you’ve got time and don’t mind the line, it’s worth checking out.
Great food with beautiful garden.
I don’t typically leave reviews solely based on service but being skipped over multiple times because I was dining alone is unacceptable. I walked up several times when the host staff was away, looked at the list and saw I was next. Yet, other parties kept going ahead of me. Unacceptable. Will never try any of their locations again.

Food was amazing as always. Pancakes and benedicta. Don't skip out on the drinks! The staff were so helpful and food came out quickly. We went for brunch on a Sunday and it was a packed house, so we had to wait for 1.5 hours. Ole Bolle and the beautiful grounds kept us entertained.

We had our wedding at Nordic NW and Broder Soder did an amazing job with catering. We chose the salmon and short rib which were both huge hits among guests. The cocktail bites were also delicious and had good options for vegetarian guests.
Casey and Analise particularly were fantastic to work with, always responsive and eager to help make our dream wedding a reality. Casey thoughtfully helped us source my husband’s favorite beer and packed 2 to go for us on our way out. Analise helped us source a special arbor from the rental company.
My husband and I are both big foodies and were very please with the food and service.
We’ve also been for lunch and if you are a seafood fan this place is great. The brunch is also very tasty.

This place is magical. Every brunch I've ever had here was amazing. One of my favorite places in the area. The food is beyond good. The coffee is always scrumptious. And you can't not get the Danish pancakes (think donuts) So good.
We love sitting outside anytime it's nice, but inside is lovely too!
Just know there's not AC when it's really hot.
Great for kids! We have brought our kid when he was little and now as a toddler.
There's usually space near you for a stroller.
Just know there's no reservations and sometimes the wait is long. It's nice to come to on weekdays if you can!
And then while you wait you can check out the exhibits and gift shop inside, or stroll the grounds and see the troll!
100% recommend.
Parking: There's three "lots" in the front, the side, and in the trees/gravel area. It gets pretty full on weekends.
Kid-friendliness: I see lots of families there and we bring our son! It's chill enough!
