We celebrated my daughter's birthday on this visit. There were six in our party. Everyone loved their entrees. It was a busy Saturday night. The staff were attentive. The only thing that I would have changed would have been to seat us at a larger table as we were shoulder to shoulder making it somewhat difficult to eat. It was a wonderful experience nonetheless.
We arrived a few minutes ahead of our 7:00 reservation for out anniversary dinner, but was still seated promptly. We knew what we wanted before arriving, so drinks and sides were the only thing to decide. The basil soup ordered as a side was as delicious as the tender and perfectly prepared filets. Eric, our waiter was friendly and entertaining, a feather in your cap, David. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and the entire evening went just right.
We were celebrating a birthday & had a great time. The service was perfect & all our different dinners were delicious. There was even a Happy Birthday note on the table waiting for us.
Excellent food and excellent service. Quite a cozy place but with a friendly vibe. Lots of parking. Our first visit; will definitely return.
Had dinner at Red Room this past Saturday (10/11) and it was so good. We actually had a reservation at Brooklyn Trattoria (next door), but once we stepped into Red Room and saw the vibe, we decided to stay - and zero regrets. I had the blackened filet mignon and grilled shrimp and wow... absolutely nailed it. Perfectly cooked, super and I finished every bite. My friend had the halibut, which happens to be one of my favorite dishes on their menu- I've had it before and it's always excellent. The atmosphere was on point -lots of red lighting, giving it that sexy, romantic, speakeasy feel. It was busy but still had that cozy, private club energy. Whether you're on a date or hanging with friends it just feels special. We sat at the bar and the bartender, Mitchell (she's amazing), made us their signature espresso martinis - they're seriously some of the best I've had anywhere. Smooth, rich, just the right amount of kick. Red Room isn't just a dinner spot for me - I had my birthday party here last month and it was a blast. We brought our own DJ, played all dance music, and when she dropped K-pop Golden, the girls and I were dancing and singing our hearts out. It was wild and so much fun. This place has it all - great food, amazing drinks, killer atmosphere, and awesome service. Definitely recommend it for a night out, date night, and a private event. Red Room is a hidden gem.
We had an absolutely amazing experience at Brooklyn Trattoria for our 1-year anniversary. From start to finish, everything was perfect especially the service. Our server, she went above and beyond to make the night special. Her timing was impeccable, and she struck the perfect balance between being attentive and giving us space to enjoy our evening. Her recommendations were spot on the grilled octopus was cooked perfectly, and the Cioppino she suggested was easily one of the best dishes I've ever had. We ended the night with a beautiful chocolate mousse with a candle. We had an amazing experience we will definitely come back again!
Had a great experience, absolutely did not enjoy the server. She was dry but basically amicable. Overall damper on our anniversary, hopefully she was just having a rough night.
This was our third try here- it is in our neighborhood and we really want it to be good but it just isn't. The service is slow and not really friendly, the food is bland, and the space is dark. It is generally quiet but I think that is because there have not been many people there when we have gone. Sorry to say we will be moving on from this one- it just does not get better.
I've been gone from the Portland area most of the summer and returned for a quintessential early fall dinner at Brooklyn Trattoria dining alfresco. THERE IS NO REASON TO DRIVE TO DOWNTOWN!! I started with a most generous delicious preparation of sautéed octopus served on a bed of sautéed arugula, sun-dried tomatoes, and grilled braised cherry tomatoes. Nothing in Italy beats this dish.! From their excellent Italian wine menu ,I chose a super Tuscan served at perfect (lightly chilled) temperature given the high 70s outdoor weather... Brooklyn always serves a very generous pour... This was followed by a perfectly cooked, medium rare blackened filet mignon steak with homemade mashed potatoes and perfectly grilled asparagus served with a lemon wedge. I've been eating at BT when I'm local since it opened and I have never had a disappointing meal. I give the owner , management team as well as Chefs a 5 star applause!!
We ate there the last two weeks and food is always delicious. Try the c cioppino it is amazing . Best I've ever had. I highly recommended it. The service was great and the people working there are all friendly. You really can't ask for more than this restaurant.

Our experience at Brooklyn Trattoria was lovely! We went for my husband's birthday and he got spoiled! We all did! Food and their specialty drinks were delicious!! And then to top it off the complimentary dessert was amazing!! Thank you for making our night a night to remember ❣️
Overall, Brooklyn Trattoria excels in every aspect, from ambiance to service to food quality. It's a perfect spot for a special occasion or a romantic evening. I ordered the Osso Bucco and the team recommended a beautiful Chianti to pair with it. I highly recommend making a reservation, as this hidden gem deserves to be experienced. You won't be disappointed!
This restaurant is a hidden gem on the west side. The menu is a thoughtfully crafted mix of New York Italian inspired dishes that ought to please everyone. We have recently added the steak (get it blackened) and the halibut (also get it blackened) to our favorites. The cocktails are marvelous, wine list is excellent and after dinner you can pop next door to The Red Room for some music and more drinks. Anyone looking for elevated dining in the west side/beaverton/hillsboro areas need to know about this place. Oh my goodness, almost forgot. Get the ravioli. Either the crab or the brisket. Neither will disappoint.
The food is always good, and every friend we have invited out to dinner has loved it. It is also an incredible value.
Food was really good, there were some little things that were a little strange for me and my group of 4. No physical menus? We were given one tablet to view the menu between 4 people until we asked for a second one. The tablets are inconvenient and bulky for the small space we had.
I asked about which wines weren't dry, and our server was not only under the age of 21, but she had no idea what that meant and could offer no insight. And apparently no one else was available who could it explain it to me-- we had to wait for someone to taste each of the wines and then tell us which ones were the least dry?? Very bizarre. The managers should make a cheat sheet for servers so they can offer a little information to guests at least.
I would eat here again for sure, but maybe we just picked the wrong day!
