I absolutely love these burgers and fries! The burgers are crispy on the edges and the fries are thin and bountiful! Would eat them at least 1 time a week if I could get by there!

Saw a flyer for $8 burger week so I decided to try this place out. These are my criticisms:

1) It’s my preference for businesses to have bell ringers so customers can let employees know they’re ready to order. Otherwise you’re just waiting for minutes. (Minor complaint).

2) I ordered through the bald-blue-eye man. I asked for no pickles and he said they don’t mod their burgers because they’re super busy for burger week. I asked if they’re premade to keep up with the demand, hence the no modification but he said nothing was premade. I asked if the pickles are part of the sauce or are they whole so I could pick them out. He said I could pick them out at the table. He was stone cold serious as we were making direct eye contact and conversing. Mind you, I was perplex by how difficult he was being as there was no one in line and there only being one couple eating outside and I don’t think they were eating burgers because they had a container and I was given a bag for my burger so the packaging was different. I decided to order the $8 burger and their $5 fries. My order was ready within 3 minutes so they’re super fast. I got home within 5 minutes and I didn’t think the burger was very warm. The burger itself was just barely fine but not good for all the fuss. The fries reminded me of McDonalds fries but extremely salty. Overall I don’t think this place would be in business if not for their top notch location.

A group of friends and I went there for burger week and were very disappointed with the burger. Despite looking delicious in their burger week post they failed to live up to expectations and served a near plain smash burger. 100% would NOT recommend. The fries were also saltier than the Red

Closed in the middle of the day at about 2pm, no explanation other than to-go orders & refused lunch; I would call ahead before going at least tbh

Cyle from the food cart was an excellent example of what I expect from a server/cook. We didn’t know what we wanted so he told us to take our time, he answered our questions patiently and offered us the most bang for our buck. He satisfied our cravings and we enjoyed his smile as he spoke with us. I will miss the food cart on division and hope my next experience will be as delightful as it was with Cyle. Here’s for wishful thinking!

Really good! Just wish they were slightly bigger haha. Dudes working there are chill. Don't get the hate? I've been coming here since you opened and have never had a bad experience.

Burger Stevens is one of the best smash burgers in Portland. The edges have that perfect crispiness and flavor. I like that they have plenty of optional toppings. I ordered a double with grilled onions, jalapenos and bacon. It was delicious. An excellent perk is that there's other great truck/carts in that location, like Matt's BBQ. If you go with someone you have choices. Check out my profile for more great eateries and craft cocktail bars. ✌?

The food is fine, but they seem to be incapable of getting orders correct.Four times in a row that I ordered from them, they got the order wrong.

I think these are really good smash burgers. I get the snack pack and though the food is a little more expensive than most places it is worth it. I don't get all the hate about the crew, but some people are easily offended. It is a burger stand people. If you want good food and can order online you will likely have zero problems. They do have quirky hours and close at 7pm, which is early if you work normal hours.

Overpriced. Small burger. Won’t be back. Great fries, reminds me of buried long from back in the day.
