I popped in the Bye and Bye because I heard they had vegan Southern cuisine. I’m in Portland looking for vegan soul food. This wasn’t what I was looking for, but the food was still good. Next time, I’m trying the Bye and Bye Beyond Burger without the onions. They have a couple of Southern-inspired sides on the menu, so I got a few of those, and they were good. Order the Meatball sub. Just do it. Updated from previous review on 2012-09-27
Came here for Sunday brunch and ordered the tofu scramble. It came with yummy black beans and potatoes, although the scramble was a bit salty for my taste. My companions lived their French toast and waffles.
This place is awesome! Friendly staff, great vibes, and a diverse menu of bowls and sandwiches. I got the BBQ platter, which came with BBQ tofu, collared greens, beans, and garlic bread, and it was super hearty and delicious.
I've been going to Bye and Bye for years and it is always delicious! All of their sandwiches are exceptional. Tons of seating both indoors and out. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a fun spot for yummy vegan food and great drinks (alcohol and n/a).
This place is outstanding! I got the Eggs Benedict, and they were delicious. This was my first time eating poached imitation eggs, and I was very pleased with them. The hollandaise sauce was just like I remember from my dairy days.
Cozy olden day vibes with a hip fun laid back atmosphere. The food was sooo good, just what I was craving. The front service was very good, I think the runner was stressed. I love this place and will always want to come back when we visit! They have amazing non alcoholic bevies.
decent food menu with some interesting items, food and prices were good. I loved the TLT!
I've been coming here for years. If I'm honest, it's probably not worth 5 stars in the Portland vegan scene in 2024 and I always preferred Sweet Hereafter (still sad it's gone), but the good memories push it over the top as a place I'll always keep coming back to
This is my pup and I's favorite spot for a quick lunch and bevy :) Stellar patio and the service is always friendly!

Went here with a group of friends on a Friday evening. It was slammed, so service was a bit slow understandably. We sat out on the heated patio and had a great time. The drinks were strong and the food was very tasty! I had the peanut broccoli bowl and had my slightly drunken socks knocked off! Also nabbed a few bites of the Obie's bowl my buddy had and it was SO good as well. Very nice ambience, drinks, and food choices. Would definitely visit again!!
Dietary restrictions: EXCELLENT gluten free and vegan options here!

This was fantastic- a runny poached egg. Just delightful. I miss it just thinking about it! Great spot.
