I love this place that it's vegan and gives me so many options there, my favorite being the Weeping Tiger Sandwich and the Obie's bowl! The cocktails are also fantastic! So try the Dark Hot Chocolate and The Liquid swords! What I also love about the place is it's open till 1am on a Friday and Saturday night!

I really enjoyed my drinks and the atmosphere during my visit on this Thursday around 2–3pm. The vibe was great and I was having a good time.
However, when I checked my card the next day, I noticed an additional $1.05 charge that I did not authorize. I had two drinks and left a 15% tip for each, so it was disappointing to see an extra amount added afterward without explanation.
It may seem small, but unexpected charges — no matter the amount — are concerning. I hope management looks into this and ensures billing is handled transparently going forward.

Great vegan bar in a fun Portland neighborhood. I’ve been here a few times and never had anything I didn’t like. Highly recommend the Frito pie and Mac and cheese! Updated from previous review on 2026-02-10
After years of going to this bar/restaurant, they still got it! The Pretzel appetizer, the Peanut Broccoli Bowl, and the Mac & Cheez with BBQ Tempeh are my favorites but their Meatball Sub and Tiger Sandwich is also way good. Plenty of delicious non-alcoholic beverages as well as local beers and craft cocktails. I come for the food, stay for the drinks. ^^)

I’ve been a regular here, love the vegan options, it’s spacious and good outdoor seating. But lately they have been SO SLOW at getting the food out, even when it’s not busy.

I can't say that it was especially memorable but the food was decent pub food. The main reason we would eat here again is bcz they have a large outdoor tent with a good heater and we could bring our dog.
Slaps!!!

Do yourself a favor and eat here, but know that you have to seat yourself, order at the bar and grab your own water….then cringe when they ask for a tip on your bill

WARNING!!! DO NOT EAT HERE RIGHT NOW!!! FOOD POISONING ALERT!! Wanted to call them to let them know but they don’t have a phone number listed and they did not respond to the email. I called the health department so hopefully they can resolve this soon. We got VERY sick and it was 100% from the peanut broccoli bowl or the sauce that comes with the pretzels.

Lovely ambience, great food and drinks! Nice place to hangout. Updated from previous review on 2025-10-08
Maybe I got the wrong thing but I didn’t enjoy this spot. I’d give it another chance though, because it seems popular and like a great hangout place.
All vegan menu 😎🌱 and the Weeping Tiger sandwich was amazing! Looking forward to trying more here

The vegan pretzel knots were so good!
What's cooler than an all vegan bar?! The Bye and Bye is a Portland staple with a hint of 2010's hipster vibe. Ample indoor seating and a ton of outdoor seating in both their back and front patios, most of which is covered and heated. Awesome spot for large gatherings! Extensive drink menu along with n/a options that are well priced. My only gripe is the food. It's not typical bar food as their are few burgers and lots of bowls, however the bowls aren't typical "healthy" bowls. Nothing on the menu has ever been great to me, always a bit lacking. Most people seem to enjoy the food, so it must be a me issue. If you haven't been here, absolutely give The Bye and Bye a try!
