I’ve been coming here off and on for the past 9 years and never been disappointed until recently... The flavors in their dishes are beautifully layered and the prices are reasonable for a nice sit down restaurant. Their cioppino has always been my go to dish but this last experience left me a little unsatisfied. The portions of crab were very minimal. The radicchio salad was also prepared minimally. Definitely not what I remember. Still giving 5 stars since it was hopefully just mishap :) oh but my favorite chocolate dessert in PDX is the Pot de creme…. Absolutely the best taste, texture and generous portion!!

I come yearly for training and tend to find a new place to eat everyday. This place after one visit I knew would be in my future visits. I had based off of prior reviews as a deciding factor for chosing this place. This is my 3rd time coming to Portland and let me say, this is the only restaurant I have decided to visit twice as the food is really that good, especially if you are a seafood person. The ciopinno will not let you down.

The pork was undercooked. I mistakenly thought they cooked it to temp but I was hurting for 2 days afterwards.

Wonderful service and ambience. Oysters were amazing, parsnip puree was to die for, seafood cakes were a bit tough and the ragu- though delicious could have been more for the amount of noodles (perfectly cooked al dente). Fish was a little overcooked but the sides made it worth it. We will be back to try other things!

The food was delicious. Caesar salad was made with full leaves of romaine and not chopped as many places do. I loved the thick slice of pate. The fish dishes were perfectly cooked. Cocktails were made with robust pours. The chocolate pot de crème was the best I've ever had. Cabezon will continue to be a go to restaurant.

A very excellent neighborhood spot. A surprisingly broad menu for a fairly small place. Not inexpensive by any means, but reasonable given the very high quality ingredients and careful preparations. Well paced and alert service. Server knowledgeable of food source and preparation. Only gripe: the sole bathroom is non ventilated and unheated. If it's 30 degrees outside, it's maybe 35 in the bathroom. Brrrr.
I am so grateful for this place. Staff, service, exceptional food. Even the art work is beautiful and integral. The benches are really hard. That's the only thing I can say that's not glowing.

Food and service were excellent. We sat at a window table so didn't have anyone right on top of us. I didn't really notice how the other tables were positioned. It was a pleasant surprise. Good, small menu.
Literally not worth the hype the french fries were overly salty. The staff acted like they were doing you a favor. You have an hour and a half to eat, and they are not very tasty dishes at all.

The team at Cabezon get all the details right, from the creative cocktail specialties, to the rock salt that comes with the chewy fresh bread and butter. We like that the menu is short, well balanced and always changing.
