Pastry was great. Salmon toast should be called tuna salad with extra salt.

Really this is the kind of experience, especially on a beautiful spring evening, that continues to define Portland dining's ineffable qualities of fresh seasonal flavor, friendly service, and relaxed atmosphere -- remarkable especially for being located on busy MLK Blvd. All that plus a community ethos that is exceptional. Can't wait to go back.
Parking: Only a very small lot; plenty of street parking within a few blocks west of MLK.
Kid-friendliness: Probably wouldn't be my top spot to bring a kid for dinner ... But the brunch menu might be another story.

The food here is really good. Foh staff has consistently not done much in terms of service. I typically don't judge in that area, because I also work in the industry but it's....not good here. Enough to bring down my rating.
The cooks seem to enjoy what they do though. Pastries here are consistently delicious! The orange espresso pull apart is worth trying.

Would not return. Here's why: The food is Instagram worthy, however the bread on two dishes was burnt to a crisp, as well as all the bread on display. The yogurt was sour and was not balanced well with the sour citrus on top. I asked if it was free refills on coffee. It was but I had to beg at the counter for my refill and a box. I have a broken foot and found this to be really frustrating since they included gratuity even though you order at the counter. I am not quite sure why someone who delivers a plate or begrudgingly gives you a refill deserves gratuity. The coffee was burnt. The parking lot had a handicap spot, however it was filled with a car that did not have a placard and someone was parked in the crosshatch that also did not have a placard. The atmosphere was cute at first but after sitting and trying to chat with a friend found that the noise inside was difficult to hear each other. They only have hard surfaces which makes the noise from the kitchen and chatting guests bounce around. There are so many better places in Portland , this place was really disappointing and expensive for what it was.
Parking: Maybe 8 spots available and no on street parking nearby
Wheelchair accessibility: They let cars without placards park in the handicap spot and the other spots are too small to get a wheelchair in and out.

Busy Sunday morning. We waited about 15 minutes, not bad! Once seated they were very attentive, answered food allergy questions, and made suggestions. We ended up ordering the breakfast sandwich, brunch greens, and the 'every day toast' (You must. Pile on the butter, then the compote, and dig in. The bread is quite good). Food was delivered quite quickly, and it was delicous. Eggs are prepared in the wood fired oven (no scrambled eggs here) and they were perfect. We'll be back to try the rest of the menu.

Nice spot, my wife found. I had a cappuccino and a coffee cake muffin with chocolate 🍫 😋 My wife had a vegetable sandwich that she said was amazing. They have indoor/outdoor seating.

Wanted to love this place, however the food was a major let down. The service was great, and the staff was truly lovely and accommodating. The vibe was nice, but the wooden bench was uncomfortable after sitting more than 20 min. The olives and the panna cotta were delicious, but the chickpea salad was a saturated palate busting tahini bomb, fava bean spread was bland, and the cavatelli was so salty it was nearly inedible. We had the grey lady cocktail ($15) which was pretty good and the wine was overpriced for the quality ($16/glass). The pizza everyone had looked good so maybe stick to that? Bummer for $160. Absolutely is not $20-30 as advertised on google.

I’ve thought about this Dutch Baby for over three years. One of the best breakfast in Portland. I know some people (Sam R from 2022) may think that charging extra for jam and butter is unreasonable but I think quality like Cafe Olli is completely worth it.

We recently hosted my mom's 70th birthday in Cafe Olli's event space, and it was perfect. I received so many compliments on the party, but it truly was 100% the Cafe and its impeccable staff.
I worked with Aliza entirely over email and realized about the day before that I'd never seen the space in person - she made it so easy I never worried things wouldn't work. Even when a few guests turned up quite early, she rolled with it.
Our party was just over 40 people, and the room felt *just* crowded enough, with a mix of seated and standing tables (several folks commented on the perfect size of the space, which is kind of a weird compliment to get but must mean you've got it right).
The food was wonderful, just as you'd enjoy at brunch in the restaurant (which, if you haven't been, go!). Leftovers were thoughtfully packed up and enjoyed the next day. We paid a cutting fee to bring our own cake, requested the drip coffee bar, and enjoyed the full bar menu. We had very minimal decorations of our own (balloons and some photos), and Aliza set out dried flower arrangements on the tables. It was elegant, delicious, and FUN.
10/10 highly recommend for your next event. Thanks Aliza and Cafe Olli! See you for pizza (don't miss the pomodoro with stracciatella) soon.

Real food.
Very cute atmosphere. Solo dined, so the wait was not a problem. While it was aesthetically pleasing, I found the ricotta overpowering. Maybe i’ll try something different next time. On the pricier side for pdx—Service was amazing :) (20% mandatory gratuity)
