Dad was here at OHSU for six days. Ate here often for lunch and dinner. Yes this is hospital cafe, but honestly they exceed the standards of traditional hospital cafe. Food tasted fresh with good seasoning. Enjoyed the views of Portland from cafe.
The first night I got the meatball sub. It looked really good BUT the bread was so hard you couldn't bite into it. Got a plastic knife and broke that right away. Ended up only eating the meatballs. The next day I got the chicken cordon blue. Had flavor and was edible, maybe even tasty. My wife had that salad bar which she was very happy with. On the weekend it's the only place available in the hospital.
It’s about what you’d expect for a hospital cafeteria. The coffee was decent (pretty good for a cafeteria dispenser honestly). The pizza was pre-made and put in a toaster oven for 3mins. I got pepperoni, which was mild, the cheese was well grilled, and the base was fluffy. I also got a slice of tiramisu cake (not pictured) and later, a cheesecake, both of which were quite tasty and creamy. The kiwi guava Celsius energy drink was sharper (citrusy) and less sweet than expected...
