Expensive but incredibly worth it. Great coffee, amazing food. I’m gluten free and the GF breakfast sandwich is the best!

We have had excellent service here with a large group. The food is so delicious and elevated with attention to detail. The lobster roll of course is a must. Did you know that they import their rolls from Boston and the lobster from Maine?
Kid-friendliness: The is great for the kids!

this place is ABSOLUTELY delicious! my BF and I will go here for a special breakfast every once in a while and we are always so pleased with the extremely high quality vs. reasonable price. we have agreed that the banana foster french toast may be the best in Portland ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ I call in and get the harvest breakfast burrito to go all the time -- I'm allergic to quinoa (weird, I know) and they are so accommodating in switching it up for me, which I'm so grateful for. my man gets the regular breakfast burrito and it's INCREDIBLE. they're huge! the sauce is hellishly good. my only gripe is that I wish someone would plant some trees next to the bus stop on CC so that the restaurant looks as inviting from the drab intersection (not even their fault). at least the parking lot is cute! feels like a different world compared to the other side. I lied, my other gripe is that it isn't open every day!!! don't worry y'all I get why on the macro but ON THE MICRO ༼ つ ಥ_ಥ ༽つ
Dietary restrictions: they're great subbing ingredients when they can!
Parking: parking can be limited, but it's easy to park on the road at 38th and walk the block over if you can't get a spot in the lil lot.
Wheelchair accessibility: ADA accessible - could be challenging for a chair during peak service but that's every restaurant. ramps available & wide enough pathways btwn tables, easy tables for a chair to saddle up to

Best brunch in Portland. Came in with our whole family (table of 9) and there was something for everyone. Absolutely delicious dishes that were thoughtful, unique, and fresh. Service was unbeatable.

The best elevated brunch food and drinks for a fair price. Spencer is always so genuine, kind, and inviting and has trained his staff to treat customers the same way (shout out to AJ for his hospitality today) . Everything on the menu is incredible. Especially the crab eggs Bennie, the burritos, bananas foster French toast, and the mushroom toast. We try to get something new every time we come in and always leave feeling satisfied. Also the music is always sooo good I need this Spotify playlist haha.

So much to say about this awesome restaurant! My wife and I have been coming here since Spring 2020 and it is always an incredible dining experience. I've tried every item on the brunch menu (love everything) and we've had three or four of the winemaker dinners and each of those has been an absolute treat. The food is always top-notch, as is the service. Spencer is a killer chef and he takes a lot of pride not only in his food, but also in how his restaurant is run. All of the staff are great and every time I'm in for a meal, I feel very much at home. I can't recommend Cafe Rowan highly enough.

This place is legit. Artistic, inspired food… smart, passionate staff. My table had a couple burritos, bananas foster french toast, benedict, all sorts of food. My lobster grits were outstanding. Can’t wait to go back.

This place is such a gem. Outside of being an amazing spot for the neighborhood it’s one of the top spots in Portland for a great meal. I don’t want to comment on how many lobster rolls that I can eat, but it’s a lot, mostly because they are the best I’ve ever had and nothing to do with my lack of self control. Staff here is always welcoming and thoughtful. They do dinners where they work with other local chefs and serve some amazing dishes which reflects their love for what they do. We’re lucky to have Cafe Rowan in Portland and those that live within walking distance are even luckier!

*I don’t do brunch* but Cafe Rowan is worth the wait! Gorgeous dishes that taste as good as they look - personal faves are the Dame sandwich, Brioche French Toast and ALL the Benedicts. Service is fast and very attentive.
