Honestly, I didn't expect much from the outside. The staff is professional and pleasant, the menu focused and inviting. But still, it wasn't until the plates arrived that I realized I was in for something special. Crab Benedict was soon melting over my pallet, and I began to notice all the little things that were harmonizing around me. I had the immense pleasure of speaking with the owner. When I mentioned that I was reminded of The Bear they shared a connection they had with the latest episode at the time. This was my second visit, sharing with family, and I already felt at home.

When you're living in hell, what better way to start the day than by getting some iced Americanos and brunch at Cafe Rowan! The mortadello sandwich was a daily special, crispy and juicy at the same time while also not being oily. The jamon benedict on a brioche was perfectly indulgent, and doubly so if you treat yourself to some truffle shavings on top! And a mason jar of iced coffee from Upper Left Roasters was a perfect way to wash away the sins of living in our iredeemably liberal wasteland!
Loved the servers, who were polite, friendly, and kind! We were seated quickly, and we got helpful explanations about the specials. You do have to go up to the cashier to order after being seated, but my neurotic self actually prefers having a seat first v. the other way around!
A huge step up from the Starbucks that used to be here many many years ago! Would come again, especially since they've got multiple benedict AND seafood roll options!

More shrimp and grits please.
This was my first time at cafe Rowan, and I heard how great of a breakfast spot it was. CORRECT!! The crab eggs Benedict was the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve grown up in a fishing town where many places served them. The bacon was perfect and crispy, the iced mocha was sweet and delicious.
At first I was skeptical about the bread the Benedict was served on, but how wrong I was. Super fluffy and absorbent , did perfectly to soak in the rich eggs. All the vegetables and avocado added made a perfect accompaniment and made the whole dish feel very complete and tasty. I will be going back !

Cafe Rowan had FANTASTIC food! The Benedict, burrito specials, bananas foster French toast, and lobster rolls were so amazing. You order up at the counter but they wouldn’t let my friend and I sit down until our whole party was there even though there was an empty table. But the quality of the food made up for it!

I love this place for brunch, but also for the lobster rolls which are one of the best I've ever had. The servers are always friendly and gracious.

Extremely disappointed walked out without even trying food. No waiters you mine as well add a kiosk. You just go from one line to another needing to get your own water, order your own food, bus your own table. Tables are small and music is loud and obnoxious
Not very wheelchair accessible

Might be favorite brunch! The benedicts are great. The hollandaise is the best I've had. Great sandwiches and potatos. I like the order up front style. It's quick service. I feel bad for the hosts that are clearly trying to seat people but the party of 6 who finished eating 15 minutes ago won't relinquish their table LOL.

This place was really busy when I came. I only had this photo of my coffee bc I just really love how it was decorated haha. Not gonna lie I almost not drink it! Lol 😂
As far I remembered what my friend told me, why it’s named Cafe Rowan because the owner owns a dog and named him “ROWAN” 🐕
They have good selection of vegetarian foods.
It’s a bit pricey but yummy 😋

Host was really nice and staff were very fast getting the food out. Delicious Holgate sandwich with gluten free bread was a great way to start the day.

We got a weekend special ($20 IIRC) for a Lobster Roll with an alcoholic drink (maybe sangria?). The lobster roll was tasty and the bread was buttery and crispy! Definitely would want to go back to try the other dishes like the French Toast, Eggs Benedict, and sandwiches.
I also got a matcha latte with oat milk, but it was alright and I probably wouldn’t get again.
The portions felt a bit small, but other dishes like the sandwich looked fairly large.
Service was nice and staff was very friendly.
The space felt a bit cramped and our tables were all very close to each other. The atmosphere wasn’t totally relaxing and it didn’t feel like a place we could sit and chat for a while since it was so busy. With how full it got, I felt pressured to leave after finishing.
Parking lot is an attached lot that’s shared with other businesses, so it could get full. Street parking seems hard, though we haven’t tried parking in the area yet.

I really had high hopes for Cafe Rowan, but ended up disappointed and neglected.
The menu offers some very tempting options, especially their lobster and crab Benedicts, which implies a hollandaise sauce of emulsified egg yolk, butter, and lemon juice. What we received was cold, and the sauce was more of a watery cream sauce. Cold lobster and crab meat from a bag over Texas toast was disappointing enough, but to then completely fail on the hollandaise was just too much.
Ordering is done at the front counter, but you are also expected to pay for the food up front at the same time, which makes tipping an uncomfortable game of typing in hopes all goes well, or who knows what you get. I expect this type of scenario at a food cart, not a restaurant costing $30 per person.
Once your food is brought to you, the customer service seems to end. I left disappointed and wishing I had gone elsewhere.

My sister and I went to brunch here. I got a very tasty salmon and lox eggs benedict and she got shrimp and grits. We also got drip coffee (free refills!) and a double mimosas (properly strong). We got there right when they opened and it was clearly a popular spot as it filled up quickly. The staff were attentive and the food was awesome. Highly recommend!
