The food is amazing. We had burrata appetizer is fabulous. We also love the penne al auto di carne is the best I've had. We also had the spumoni dessert was also unique and delicious. The staff was so friendly. Highly recommend

We used to live in PDX and still go back occasionally. When we do, Cafe Mingo, after all these years, remains a dining destination. In a foody city, it is consistently good, lively and friendly. It's a nice mix of "old Portland" with a younger neighborhood clientele and predictably good food. It's the ultimate "comfort food" place.

Every time we go here, the food, service and wine are exceptional. We order a mix of favorites with new items and we're always impressed! It's a treat when we go out and we know we're going to walk away happy and satisfied.

Went early on a Thursday evening with wife to celebrate an occasion. I brought a bottle of wine from my cellar and my wife had glasses sparkling wine. Service was attentive without being too much. I had a bread and olives to start, followed by a Caesar salad and beef tenderloin with mashed potatoes & broccolini. My wife had oysters, mixed greens and ravioli. We shared a bread pudding for dolce. Everything was excellent.

Finally got the chance to try Caffe Mingo and it was so good that we felt bad we didn't try it earlier. Caffe Mingo has such a cozy, chill atmosphere filled with cute decorations and comfortable lighting. This is the type of place you'd go to treat yourself for the week, with amazing staff, beautifully crafted and delicious food, and engaging cocktails. We really enjoyed everything about our dinner here at Caffe Mingo, it will undoubtedly be a new norm within our rotation!I highly recommend you go here and try the food, everything was amazing. The only thing that I wish could be improved is that the food didn't come out burning hot but that may just be due to the dishes we had and after 5-10 minutes it was all good. Amazing restaurant, treat yourself and go!

My wife and I have been here many times. We come back because the service is always friendly, efficient and professional. The food is outstanding and we love the quiet ambiance. This visit was as we expected. The only nit pick is that the Fettuccine Chicken Cacciatore was over salted which took away from the wonderful flavor.

A friend told us about Café Mingo. We're so glad. It has a great vibe. Awesome service my salad was fresh and delicious and one of the best pizzas we've ever had. Can't wait to come back.
I have never in my life had better Bruschetta, in fact I think it's the best appetizer I've eaten. Next time I'm getting an entire order to myself! The blood orange margaritas were excellent. The waitstaff was wonderful, the ambiance was so welcoming and romantic. We loved it!

Darling restaurant, delicious food! The only disappointment was notifying them when I reserved that we were celebrating birthday, and I told the person seating us that it was birthday too- they brought our desert that we ordered (not one they offered for bday) without candle. I had to take it back to them and ask them to put a candle in it. I always love the gesture of a restaurant bringing the desert on their own small it can be with candle. Otherwise, highly recommend this wonderful gem.

We had excellent Willapa Bay oysters. Perfectly chilled. The drinks were also good but the noise level was so high that it was difficult to converse. The veal chop entree was smothered in a red sauce very unappealing. Pizza was just so so. Ice cream dessert was fine.

I would advise you to not get the pizza. Our server recommended it to us for some reason, and it was not good. Bland sauce, weird placement of toppings, and charred bits galore. If you are looking for a traditional pizza this is not it. While I finished it, it was because I felt bad due to the steep price, and it was not filling at all. I also had to tell someone not to take my plate as I was still eating.

All in all, everything was average and ok. I would not go back. I found the options to be okay and nothing exciting. The flavors to be dull and the service to be slow and not really professional. Example: Bruschetta costed 20 dollars with only the top bread having shrimp and the bottom bread being naked.
