Caffe Umbria is a nice little café in Portland that I visited during one of my excursions. It was housed in a really lovely building with lots of historical art on it. The café was cute and had a modern vibe. It was quite packed. I just wanted something sweet to take on the go, so I decided to get a chocolate croissant. The customer service was friendly and fast. The croissant was so good; it was flaky and crisp. I would definitely come back to get another one. I recommend checking it out if you're nearby.
Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options.
Parking: Not a lot of parking in Portland.
Kid-friendliness: It could be kid-friendly, but not many kids were there.

Coffee was pretty decent. I always judge a place based on their plain americanos. It's flavorful coffee yet not too acidic or bland. Just right.
I didn't try the food. The atmosphere is nice, if you want something more quiet, there's a comfy hotel lobby connected.

I’m not the one to complain about customer service but on numerous occasions I’ve had the unfortunate experience of dealing with the tall brunette female Barista who I think goes by Thaya. She always has a sour face every time I’ve had interactions with her & I often ignore it. But today I draw the line of even coming back to this establishment ever and even bringing my clients here because of her selective customer service. When I asked her to fix my drink today (twice) she makes a comment as I walk away and says that’s not even a latte. She NEVER announces my order food/or drink & leaves it on the counter but she does it for other customers, I’ve seen her even smile with others so I know she’s doing it purposefully. Management needs to train her on applying customer service to EVERYONE even if they don’t fit a “certain image”. I’ll take my money to the other Cafe Umbria location downtown.

I had one of the best lavender cafe latte here! This coffee shop is just perfect!Great interior design with wide windows and lots of natural light! Definitely recommend this coffee shop when you are in downtown Portland !

I absolutely love this place. The staff are friendly, the food is quality and the baristas know their craft well. It is on the spendy side but, you get what you pay for. Highly recommend.
Wheelchair accessibility: If you are already rolling around downtown and have parked your vehicle, this place is very wheelchair friendly. All the seating has removable chairs so any table can be made accessible. However, use the front door on 5th avenue for a less steep approach.
