We loved this Case Study more than all other branches. Very cute, cozy and bright coffee shop in a perfect neighbourhood to enjoy the weekends in. Right next to a bookstore which you can spend time after. Loved this place so much.
Lots of seating, chill vibes all around
I just moved to the area and I went to this establishment yesterday. The woman who was working was friendly. A man took my order, he seemed grumpy and when I ordered my coffee he didn’t ask me what size, what kind of milk I wanted, nothing. I just wasn’t impressed with the service at all and won’t be returning.

Love it 💜 The staff is super friendly, and the coffee is absolutely delicious, definitely my #1 spot in Portland! Whether it’s the drip or the espresso, it always tastes amazing at Case Study coffee shops!

We live close to this shop and love getting morning coffee from them. Their drip is nice and strong. This is also a cute place to sit and have coffee

Yet another coffee shop grossly profiteering off people who don't consume dairy, whether by choice or allergy, with a $1.00 up charge for alt milks. People have shown by simple math this vastly exceeds any extra cost.

Nice atmosphere and coffee. Service wasn’t great,. Was very disappointed that barista added a tip to my to-go coffee that I did not authorize. dishonest!

I love case study. This was my first time at this location. Picked up some coffee beans Guatemala washed and are great. Had an iced americano. The barista was so friendly and was helpful in aiding right coffee bean choice.

This is a relaxed and stylish neighborhood cafe. I love the fresh flower arrangements they have from Polly, is a nice touch and compliments the atmosphere of the space.

I NEVER leave reviews. But the male barista here with the longer hair was so kind and genuine, I had to. I was visiting Portland for 4 days and got the Figgy Matcha every single day. Someone left a bad review about the matcha but this is one of the best matchas I’ve ever had. The sweetness level was perfect - not sweet like a dessert but still sweet. And they had simple syrup on the side if you wanted to make it dessert sweet. The friendliness of the team here is unmatched. Felt like I was talking to friends ordering coffee. Also the ambience is lovely. The exterior is stunning and then the interior is light and airy with plants. Can’t say enough good things, I feel bad for the locals that the figgy matcha is only seasonal!

Oh my goodness, talk about a step back in time! The “house” where this shop now resides is from late 1800s, how cool! I had to be in Portland and Googled a coffee place where I could get a good matcha latte and do some work, and Case Study was super close to my location. When I saw it online, something struck me including the clever name so I gave it a go. It’s located in a section of Portland I really like anyway so this find was a bonus. From walking in and seeing the decor and being greeted by very friendly staff, I was thrilled and knew I found my spot! The decor, the vibe, the lighting, the layout…all of it is just perfect. I don’t like places where the music is blaring though I enjoy having it in the background. Here, the music selection was on point and at a volume where I could still focus on what I was doing. I got a lavender matcha latte, beautifully crafted and very tasty. I sat outside where there are a handful of tables until I needed to go inside for power. The location on a corner is perfect and it is all-around comfortable. There is a good amount of seating inside as well, and even one table on the porch. Everyone who came seemed to enjoy the atmosphere as I did, and I am delighted I didn’t look any further than trying this spot—I cannot wait to return!

Nice location, but my wife and I were here maybe a couple of months ago it was about 3.30 in the afternoon when we arrived. We ordered two pots of teas before we can finish Our teas almost got kicked out by 4 o’clock. The gentleman who was behind the coffee.bar came and told us very strictly we needed to leave here by 4 o’clock, was very unpleasant.
Plus, this is a dog town lotta people have dogs and you can sit downstairs outside. There’s no dog water bowls. It discourages me to go back again.
I almost forgot to give you all an exceptional review for five star coffee. It’s very hard to please this Oregonian, but the color the pallet and everything about the smoothness of your coffee is absolutely amazing hands-down. Highly recommend.
