I had a few drinks before getting to Castagna, so I'm fuzzy on all the details. I remember being very impressed by a number of the early courses, and that I kept thinking "wow, this should be in the Michelin guide." Then I had a few more drinks, and don't really remember anything else. Pretty sure it's the best place I've eaten in Portland.

Dalia was serving another table but made sure to bring us what we needed as well. Both ladies were awesome! The food was fresh and the place was very clean! We enjoyed the margaritas and fresh traditional Mexican food and the kids enjoyed their burgers and fries. My new favorite place to stop for food now

Food was excellent. Loved the trout course, the steak and OMG- the bread course was absolutely amazing. It came with 3 options of spreads: miso & brie, a lardo spread, and a solid brown butter. I absolutely can't decide between those, they were all amazing. Highly recommend.

Creativity inspires this changing menu. Presentation is both stunning and unusual. As an accomplished cook, I enjoy Castagna because they not only surprise me, but I am often at a loss at to how they achieved such ethereal tastes. I would say this is the best fine dining in Portland.

Each dish has a beautiful flavor profile to each. We had a vegetable terrarium that was such a light finish and so visually appealing it looked like art. The bread and butter course was phenomenal and a great addition and the raspberry palate cleanser was a welcome and fresh finish. nice
This place does it for me. Definitely worth going back to. Prices were decent. I see why this place has a lot of good reviews.

And cheese and bacon. Whoa. Had The Reggie for $8 and Im glad I didnt get anything else because it was massive. A tasty biscuit with fried chicken, cheese, and bacon covered in gravy was a hearty and filling late lunch. The restaurant had a line out the door and a short wait but it worth it.
