This is a great spot to end the night. They stay open the latest on this stretch of Division. Don't go expecting craft cocktails. By this time you should order a mixed drink or beer. Tables are condensed which makes for easy conversation. I dig it.

Frankly, I'm not entirely sure how this establishment views themselves. Three bartenders/friends/(owners?) tend to have power trips on their costumers. This wasn't my first experience here with that sort of atmosphere. Your place, your rules, sure, but very poor handling of situations. Nonetheless, the drinks are quite mediocre, and it can be cramped since many seem to enjoy themselves here. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone I fancied. The cocktail lounge across the street called: "The End" by far out classes this place.
For further evidence, please take note of how the owner responds to their poor reviews on Google Maps... Wild.

I agree with the earlier review from Geoff. I don’t mind salty/ornery staff, but the staff here came across as entitled hipster transplants.Sincerely,Well

My friend and I were waiting on our reservation for another spot and ducked in here for a drink. Darkly lit, we walked in to the sweet sounds of Whitney Houston (r.i.p) and when one hears the sweet ambrosia of W.H. you dance, and I did. The bar tender saw it... it being my dance moves, and called me out like an older sister giving you a polite jab.Bartender: "What are you doing?John: (looking around) who me?B: " Yes!, you!"J: " OH! The tunes were so sweet, im surprised everyone is not dancing right now(Bartender smiles, "What can I get, ya?"J; Whiskey ginger ale!B: "Comin up!"And scene! This was like within three minutes of walking in the door. Next song was " Lets hear it for the boys," and I started talking to another patron of the bar. Within 10 minutes, I had my drink, danced, and had a conversation with a stranger about footloose. I'd come here again in a heartbeat. And so should you if you asked yourself if you wanted to have a good time! Thanks team for a memorable stop!

Cat’s Paw is a bit of a gem on Division. It looks pretty small from the outside, but there is a back area that does have some heated seating. There is also seating in front of the bar outside. Every time I’ve been by, it’s busy-obviously a local gem.The best reason to come here is for the vibes. They play very loud music that is full of energy and fun. The bartender was friendly and upbeat. Everywhere is loud, so that could be overwhelming for some. There’s also some communal seating, or if you get your own table, it’ll most likely be close to another table. So be ready to get cozy!I would come back, but probably only for something on tap. The mixed drinks were good, but not amazing. I had a smoked maple old fashioned, which was good but overly sweet. My friend had a whiskey sour that was tasted really watered down.
Parking: Division can get busy when trying to park. You may need to park on a side street.
