We got to the bar at 1:30am, tried to open the door and were met by security. He said they were closed early tonight, even with patrons inside. Why would you have posted hours and not honor them to your patrons. Extremely disappointed with y’all. I brought my friends that are visiting from out of town. If you are going to have posted hours, honor them. Don’t deny patron’s when you want to.

Bad experience with a bar tender of this location yesterday I went to the cherry blossom after we decided to get some food we look for few locations and I fund this place I took a seat outside the cover area with my friends and puppie we were wonder I will not be able to come in but they did so a bar tender came out and "say to us ypu need to move away right away is for costumers only treatment me like garbage so please be careful with who you approach and be nicely You work for a public service most be nice and treat all equal. So that's why I don't come to Portland anymore is not save and people working at this place not work it.

This place is discriminatory. Patronize businesses that will embody the values of LGBTQ inclusion we all expect.

Hi CC's. My partner Spencer has reached out to you already. I'm just reaching out to give you more context. We walked up to the rainbow room expecting to get in. I moved away from Portland in 2011. I spent my 21st birthday back in 2008 playing pool with Bolivia. I have so many good memories at CC's and the rainbow room from my young adulthood. I was always able to get into the rainbow room. It was always the same cover and wristband policy. We were rudely turned away from the rainbow room. We walked over to CC's discussing our confusion. By the time we reached CC's the bouncer at Rainbow had contacted the bouncer and CC's and denied us entry. It was a simple miscommunication that left us feeling deeply misunderstood and criticized. We attempted to explain ourselves to the bouncer and the manager but they were unwilling to hear us and come from a place of curiosity and understanding. I get the bouncers have to make quick decisions on someone's character but tonight they got it wrong and we are feeling deeply hurt. I can't help but wonder if the female presenting bouncer at the rainbow room doesn't have deeply critical parents and therefore decode criticism when no criticism was encoded in the communication. I really hope that the managers can have a reflective conversation about what constitutes a refusal of services in the future so harmless queer folx aren't turned away and shamed in the future. I'm really hoping for an apology so I can continue to anyone a safe space that holds so many beautiful memories for me. Heartbroken, Kevin

CC's is USUALLY a safe place for my queer friends but we were recently not allowed entrance just because our friend "seemed too drunk." The staff did not want to hear us out and were very exclusive despite wanting to talk about it. I understand wanting to protect people that seem too intoxicated but my friend was NOT more intoxicated than anyone else in the line... I will not recommend CCs until this issue is handled...

It was a night of absolute frustration. We came in with out of state IDs and our party was young (23-25) which is a fair red flag to anyone checking IDs. They took the IDs and after a minute of deliberation (we saw them Googling what a Wisconsin ID looked like) they decided they were fake and that they'd have to take them. They thought we were playing a trick on them and sneeringly said these are "clearly fake" and "you can go now". These were very much real IDs. We offered different forms of verification, etc., but they refused to give them back and that it didn't matter because they're clearly fake. Aside from how time consuming it is to replace IDs, two of our party were visiting from out of state and needed them to fly back home later that week so leaving without them was not an option. They said we needed police to come verify they were real. While we were waiting on the phone, we saw multiple parties try to get in. They refused someone that didn't have US identification and were really brusque about the ordeal. After an hour and a half on the phone in the cold waiting for the police, they said they can't verify they're real but that they'd give them back. I think actually waiting for an hour and half convinced them that they were real. No hate on being serious about fake IDs, but the situation was handled terribly.

tried to go on my 27th birthday with a group of friends. the door lady was very hostile right off the bar, yelled at us to come in or leave when i was looking for my last friend who was getting dropped off from an uber. when she checked ID's everyone got accepted besides me, she even threatened to keep my ID.

Friendly staff. Consistently pleasant experience. Safe space. Very welcoming. Never felt uncomfortable.

C C Slaughters was exactly the place my sister and I were looking for while visiting Portland. Amazing Drag Show, spectacular music and overall the best LGBTQIA+ bar I've been to in awhile!! The bartender Steven was so attentive and welcoming- thank you Concierge Steven!

Probably houses/employs one of THE worst DJs I’ve ever heard, longest transitions ever with the most outdated song choice. You can barely hear the songs that play over the most generic edm beat. Don’t waste your money.

Absolutely need to fire their DJs. All of them. Going for years n it's only trash edm remixes.... Girl... why do I hold out

Terrible, wouldn't let me go back inside after paying a 10 dollar cover because I stepped out for some air TWICE I respected the bars rules, waited outside for my friends. One of the people in my group tried to vouch for me and asked the bouncer if they would let me try again, they agreed and proceeded to kick me out AGAIN 30 seconds later after my friend let me sip a drink.. Makes no sense. why let me back into your establishment in the first place. Terrible bar, shitty music, worse staff Asked for one of their names and got "fuck off" in response.

A Halloween stop. Good music and good vibes from the crowd. Some of the staff seemed cool and polite. Door guy was an impatient jerk (I'm being polite), which was a bummer since the security peeps were cool. The coat check kween walked away and ignored several customers. Didn't say a word to us but was busy gossiping with their buddy. So, overall, I wouldn't go back. Recommend they remind first impression staff that they aren't doing us a favor and if you act like we're interrupting you, we'll happily take our money elsewhere.
